Final Fantasy Movie Web Sites
Unofficial Movie News
- Aint It Cool News: This site is damn ugly, but it's considered the number one source for unnoficial movie news.
- Dark Horizons: This place is much better. It has a very nice layout.
- Corona's Coming Attractions: This, along with Aint It Cool News and Darkhorizons are the big three sites on the internet in terms of unofficial movie news. Every upcoming movie has its own page of news and updates at Corona. In particular, check out the Final Fantasy Page.
- Cinecon: Similar to Darkhorizons in terms of layout, but most of the stories come from official channels. Still, it's worth a look.
Official Movie News
- Showbizdata: This place updates every weekday with roughly ten new stories. Most of them are very interesting. Also the site says how much money the top 10 movies made the previous day. With this tool, you can get a good indication, as early as Saturday morning, how much money movies will make in their opening weekend .
- Cinescape: This is the website for the magazine. They mostly have news about scifi and horror type movies. They update every day.
- Variety, Reuters, E! Online, Associated Press, Hollywood Reporter: All hosted at Yahoo, and probably other places.
- The Internet Movie Database: I can't stress strongly enough the usefulness of this site. They have information, reviews, cast lists and more for every movie imaginable. The most useful thing is that each actor has their own page listing all the movies they have been in.
Movie Trailers
- ComingSoon.net: This place has virtually every movie trailer on the internet. Plus they also provide the most timely updates.
- Movie-list: This used to be the best place in terms of links to new trailers. They claim to be the most updated movie trailer site, but lately they have been slacking off by providing infrequent updates.
- Apple trailers: The Apple web site provides many trailers in Quicktime format.
Movie Reviews
- Roger Ebert: The best movie review site on the web. Of all the critics I've read, I agree with Ebert the most. The site contains reviews for movies going back as far as 1985.
- Rotten Tomatoes: Links to every major review on the web of every new movie. A great place to guage the general consensus opinion of a movie.
- Mr. Showbiz: Provides useful reviews. They rate movies on a scale of 1 to 100.
