| Quarter Pole Downs - Malibu's Heavenly Charm (Malibu - Heaven's Charm) won the QPD Mile Run earlier his week. The two-year-old Malibu colt had his work cut out for him though. Starview's Regent gave him a run for his money, finishing a close second. In one of the closest Mile Run's ever, the top three finished less then a length apart. When asked about the colt's bright future, owner Mary-Kate said "I just want to take things slow. It's great that he's running well, but health comes first." Malibu's Heavenly Charm cashed in $600,000 for his win in the mile long race. One thing can be said when I saw this race, there are some classy two-year-olds and I cannot wait to see what becomes of them. |
