AP Apollo runs away with the British Club Sprint
QPD-
Five two-year olds powered out of the gate on the ninth race of the day at QPS, the British Club Sprint. Pride's Final Stretch, owned by Townsend Acres, took the lead with AP Apollo and Murphy's Expectations on his tail.
In the first turn Pride's Final Stretch began to tire and Wonder Catcher took the lead. Coming into the backstretch AP Apollo slowly moved into third.
Down the home stretch Abselute moved his way up on the outside, overpowering Murphy's Expectations. AP Apollo surged forward and took the lead. Behind him Wonder Catcher battled on gamley. Absleute moved up on Wonder Catcher and the two duled down the stretch. A length in front, AP Apollo surged under the wire, and Wonder Catcher managed to get his nose in front of Abselute, taking second. AP Apollo and Wonder Catcher are both owned by Silver Hill Stables, and their owner was thrilled with their races.
