A Dam Story ^_^
The day was like any other usual day at Laria's breeding center. The sun was shining, the Pokémon were playing, the people were having fun and general peace and happiness reigned over the place.
"What a beautiful day!" exclaimed Laria, coming out of the water. She was wearing a green and blue vertically striped bikini.
"Yeah, I know what you mean, Lar." Replied Brock, sitting in a deck chair, watching Laria.
"The day is so perfect to lie around and do nothing!" said Misty, shielding her eyes to look at the sun.
"Marril, marril!" agreed a Marril, swimming around the pond.
"That's for sure, Marril!" said Ash, playing with Togepi.
"Triiiii, tokei, tokei!" exclaimed Togepi, happily playing with Ash.
Laria got a towel and wrapped it around herself, settling down in a deck chair next to Brock.
"What a refreshing swim! You should have joined me." Said Laria to Brock.
"Yeah... well... uh... how did you make that waterfall? I can see it coming out of that spout." Said Brock, thinking Great save!
"Well..." started Laria, looking at the dam, "When I started this place, I had Pokémon in mind. I knew that most Pokémon love water better when it has a few waves. And some Pokémon love water slides, so I dammed up the river and made that spout to make a natural water slide!"
"That's pretty cool, but what about that dam? It doesn't look very strong. Aren't you afraid that one day it'll break and flood this place?" asked Brock, looking at Laria.
"Well, it's always been a danger, but even though it's made of wood, it's still pretty strong. I don't think it'll break unless the water rises dramatically." Replied Laria, getting up from the chair. She said, "I'd better get dressed, there's still tons to do around here!" And with that, she left to go to her room.

Somewhere else...
A Snorlax awoke farther down the river that ended at the breeding center. It got up and decided to take a bath...

Back at the breeding center...
"Laria! Hurry up, the dam's flooding!" cried Brock, running around the breeding center, looking for Laria.
"What! We've got to get there, quick!" shouted Laria to Brock, already running towards the dam. Indeed it was flooding, the once gentle waterfall was now a torrent and the air was filled with spray. "Help me hold the dam!" cried Laria, pushing her weight against the groaning of the dam. Small leaks were springing from the dam and the whole structure was bending under the strain of the water. Instead of peace and happiness filling the air, there was an element of danger. The dam sprang more leaks as the water pushed against it. Brock, Ash, and Misty ran up to the dam to help Laria keep it standing. Brock looked over to Laria, who was straining to keep the dam standing and save all that she had built. The spray made miniature rainbows around her face as she struggled on. Wow, thought Brock, as he loved her more than ever before.
"Hey you Pokémon, if you want a place for your children to be born, you have to help us!" cried Laria to the Pokémon, who were standing fearfully a few meters away. As a surge of hope surrounded them, they ran to the dam to do what they could. Each Pokémon was doing what they could to face the crisis. Just as suddenly as the overflow started, it stopped. The water level returned to slightly below normal. A great cheer arose from the people and Pokémon.
"All right!" shouted Brock, leaping to Laria but succeeded in pushing her and himself into the nearby pond - fully clothed. She came out of the water, soaking wet, laughing at Brock who was sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
"It's a good thing I was already wet! We'd better get changed!" said Laria, who squelched back to her room.

Back to the Snorlax...
As the Snorlax heaved out of the water, it gave a satisfied sigh. It decided to sit nearby and eat the fruit off the trees as a snack.
***
"But what I don't understand is how the water rose so high, so quickly, and then returned back to normal." Said Laria to the rest of the group. They were sitting around the kitchen table drinking apple cider. Pikachu, Togepi and Scyther were also there, drinking cider. Scyther was using a straw.
"What must have happened is some people or something large got into the water, the water didn't have much else to go, so it flooded. It's the only logical explanation." Answered Brock in his best thinking pose.
"Yeah, but what could be big enough to do that? It couldn't be wood because wood floats. It was probably a whole bunch of people or Pokémon. But that sure would have been a lot of people and tons of Pokémon." Speculated Misty, taking another sip of cider.
"I think," started Laria, "I think that this was not a group. If it had, we would have heard something. But it couldn't have been a person, so it must've been a Pokémon. But what kind of Pokémon could be big enough to do that?"
Everyone thought for a moment and exclaimed in usion, "Snorlax!"
"I'll be back in less than an hour." Said Laria, getting up from the table.
"Not without me, you're not!" said Brock, following Laria.
Laria called to Charizard, "Charizard! Take us down the river!" as she jumped onto his back.
"Wait Laria! Don't forget me!" cried Brock, jumping up behind Laria, onto Charizard's back.
Charizard pumped his wings a few times and soared into the air, following the river. After about 10 minutes of flying, they spotted the Snorlax. Charizard landed in front of the giant Snorlax, who was still eating fruit.
"Snor, snorlax." Said Laria in a perfect Snorlax greeting.
"Snorlax, snor." Replied the Snorlax, giving Laria a look.
"Snor, snor, snorlax, lax." Said Laria.
"What did you say?" asked Brock.
"I asked if she took a bath." Replied Laria.
"SHE?!?!?" cried Brock.
"Yup, and you better not get her mad because looking from here, she has a Mega Punch attack, so keep quiet." Answered Laria.
"Lax, lax, snor, snorlax." Replied the Snorlax, answering Laria's question.
"Snorlax, snor, snor." Asked Laria politely.
"Snorlax!" said the Snorlax excitedly.
"Laria got out a pokéball, but not one of her own. She opened it and Snorlax went inside.
What did you tell her? What happened?" asked Brock, totally confused.
"I told her that at the breeding center, there was a male Snorlax that needed a mate. She agreed to come check him out. Even Snorlaxes need romance!" explained Laria, continuing, "I don't think that the trainer of the male Snorlax will mind a female one, so I used one of his pokéballs."
"Ok, let's go home and see how the Snorlaxes do." Replied Brock, jumping onto Charizard's back.

"Hey! We're back! Take a look at who we brought with us!" called out Laria. She called out the Snorlax. "Hey, where's that Snorlax? The one Jason brought in?" said Laria, looking around for the Snorlax. She spotted him and called him over. As soon as the two Snorlaxes saw each other, it was love at first sight. They walked off into the forest, holding hands. "Isn't that sweet!" said Laria, holding Brock's hand and leaning against him. "It makes me so happy to see so many couples. But what about you two?" asked Laria slyly of Ash and Misty.
"NO WAY!" shouted Ash and Misty in usion, blushing fiercely.
"You two would make a great couple! OW!" said Brock, as he was whacked by both Ash and Misty.
Thus another adventure ends at Laria's breeding center with everyone arguing.
