-In the case of both restricted and unrestricted free agents, the original team may elect to pre-sign the player and avoid the free agent process. The way this will be done is you make an offer to the player agent,. then the agent will look at the offer and at the teams record and the skill level of the players in the team, depending on how the team is doing and on the players age he will either agree to the offer or disagree. It will be harder to sign players who will become unrestricted since they will probably want to test free agency.The agent decides if the player will or will not sign, he will make counter offers or flat out reject an offer and say the player wants more money longer contract and so on. |
