League rules: |

Season: 80 game scheduale Team owners: Owners are allowed to use any city and name for there team, as long as a team in the league is not currently using it. Owners will also be able to name their team's arena. Owners are able to move during the off-season.. Gm Editor: -Download the GM editor from the FHLF web page. -Unzip the file in a new folder (it is preferable to create a new folder only for FHLF ). -Download the league files and unzip them in the same folder as the GMeditor i.e. FHLF -Open the GMeditor, then click on file (menu bar), load, find the FHLF.tms file and load it. -Find your team and double-click on it. At the bottom you will see the "Team Roster" and the "Team Lines", the "Team Roster" is used to move your players from Pro Roster, Scratch and Farm, remember you can only dress 20 players. The "Team Lines" is to make your lines. To do that, just click on the player "top left box" and then click on the position you want them. When your done click on "save" when it asks for a password just click "ok" *do not* set a password or else I won't be able to open your file. This file will be saved in your FHLF folder as "teamname.ins" this is the file you must send me by mail. Salary Cap: Salary cap is set at 50 million, teams over the cap will have until the next day to get under if they dont get under the cap after that day is passed they will be fined 1 000 000$ a day, if they do not get under the cap after 3 days a player from there team will be placed in the unrestricted free agent pool. Gm's: -You will be obligated to have ICQ to be in this league.. -Be nice to every GM, this league is for fun. -GM's are asked to publish a team report at least twice a month, this will make the league more active. -GM's are responsible for all e-mails they receive and must notify the commissioner if they will be busy for a few days because of work/school and won't be able to be active. -GM's must submit lines on time, and make substitutions for any injuries that might occur or else the simulator will do that for them. -GM's need to keep their teams out of debt. If a team is in debt for over 1 year, then that owner will be subject to expulsion from the league. -GM's will also be required to be on ICQ at least 4-5 hours a week so other GM's can talk to them and I can see that those GM's are active. -These rules are very simple, I would like everyone to respect them, if you feel you can't manage the rules, then please do not join the league. Players: All player ratings will be based on the player's NHL performance. They will be re-rated every off-season. Players will age 1 year at the end of the playoffs. Players that retire in the NHL will retire from the FHLF during the next off-season. This means that the FHLF is always one year behind the actual NHL when it comes to retiring/rerates players. Any player that becomes successful in the NHL but is not on an FHLF roster will be placed in the next entry draft. You can ask to change players positions, but only if that player plays the position in the NHL, I will check 3 sites and if one of the sites sais he plays that position then I will change him, it will cost you 10 000$ per position change. Prospects: Prospects are players whose rights are owned by a team, but are not signed to a contract. Prospects cost the team $1,500 per player to be kept on the prospect list. A team can sign a prospect at any time. Prospects who have not had any NHL experience will be rated extremely low 55 OV. Coaches: A coach can be fired at any time during the season. If a team wants to hire a new coach, that team must first fire the old coach and then make an offer to the new coach. The minimum a coach will accept is listed on the coach ratings page. Coaches do affect play in the league. Rosters: Owners are permitted to change the position of either defensemen or forwards, but not goalies. Changing a player's position may result in a negative effect on his ability. Each team must have a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 25 players on their pro roster. The remainder of the team's players must reside on the farm roster. There is no limit to the number of players on the farm roster. The game roster consists of 20 players, which is made up of 2 goalies, 3 centers, 3 left wingers, 3 right wingers, and 6 defensemen. Then you may select 3 more players of any type except for goalies. All lines will be sent as a .ins file attachment to the commissioner. Do not put any password on the saved lines, I wont even bother asking you about it. The file should be named after your team. Contracts: The maximum lenght of a contract can be 4 years. Release: You can release a player at any time during the season, if you do so you will have to pay that player his full salary for the season. You can release a player with no penalty during the off season and during the pre-season. Trades: An owner can trade players, draft picks, and money. Both teams must confirm all trades. A trade will not occur until this happens. Almost all trades will be permited but if I see something like Jagr for Linden that trade will refused either than that things should be ok. Although both owners must confirm trades to me, I will not stand for owners making deals and then backing out of them. If a GM does this, I will immediately dismiss him. Free Agents: Check agent page for info. Draft Pick: -The initial draft will consist of all players who are currently playing in the NHL excluding those selected in the 2000 entry draft,. The order of this draft will be determined by a lottery. -the number of round will be determined shortly. -the coach draft will be after the rosters are done there will be a new lottery to determine the selection order for coaches. Entry draft: Players who are not selected in a draft will re-enter the next season. A GM can request that players that are in the NHL or are owned by any NHL team to be added to the entry draft so that the teams can have a chance to draft them, each GM can submit 5 players each to be added to the available prospects list. Arena: All teams begin the league with an arena of 15,000 seats. Arenas may be purchased and sold during the off-season only. The following table lists the prices for each type of arena. Capacity:15,000 buy: $10,000,000 sell:$3,000,000 Cap:17,000 buy:$14,000,000 sell:$5,000,000 Cap:20,000 buy:$19,000,000 Sell:$8,000,000 Cap:22,000 buy:$26,000,000 sell:$10,000,000 Cap:24,000 buy:$35,000,000 sell:$12,000,000 Cap:30 000 buy:$45,000,000 sell:$18,000,000 Rating Info: CD= Condition.
