This is my kind of town, Chicago is…and it will be your kind of town, too, when you join your classmates and friends in Chicago. As is our custom every five years, we revisit Chicago. This time, it will occur during the second weekend in July (8-10), with early arrivers coming to town Wednesday or Thursday.
Headquarters for the reunion is the four-diamond All Suite Omni Chicago Hotel, located on Michigan Avenue in the heart of the famed Magnificent Mile. The special FHS rate is $149 king/ $169 dbl-dbl per night, per room, from July 6 – 10, 2005 (11.9% state tax and 3% city tax = $171.20 / $194.18 per night). Please note that there are limited double-double rooms available. If you plan to share a room please make your reservations now! Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is 12:00 noon. The block of rooms will be held until Wednesday, June 15, 2005. Reservation requests received after the “cut-off date” will be accepted on a space available basis at the Omni Chicago’s Best Rate being offered over requested dates, so make reservations early! Remember, you can always cancel up to 3:00 pm the day prior to the arrival date with no penalty. Please call 312-944-6664 or the Central Reservations office at 1-800-THE-OMNI to make your reservations now. Be sure to mention the Frankfurt American High School Reunion in order to secure the negotiated rate. Please reserve early so we know how to plan our activities.
The Hospitality Suite will be open from 3 PM on Thursday, July 7 through 12:00 noon Sunday, July 10. There will probably be scheduled activities for Thursday through Saturday nights, including our Chicago favorite: a cruise on Lake Michigan. As we learn more, we'll post it on this site.
