ALL Things Work For Good

My friends, when you are faced with things happening in your life for which you did not expect or for which you do not understand, just commit your situation to the Lord and lean had on His grace for you. You will find that it is always sufficient and never short. It might be painful at times but He will give you the strength to endure. I experienced all of that during my time of back pain. And yes, some months later, I went back to the surgeon and he did a thorough examination of my back and pronounced that I was suffering from a degenerating backbone. Of course he did not operate on me to correct the disc, as he deemed it not necessary. And yes, I was eventually downgraded in the army and only had to serve the remaining years of In-Camp Training as an officer participating in boardroom map planning exercises and now I am completely out of the army.

The Bible is a truly extraordinary collection of books and letters written by at least thirty-six different authors. The writers include prophets, fishermen, kings, ministers, lawyers, priests, a doctor and a tax collector. The Bible spans some 1,600 years which is divided into two basic periods; the Old Testament which was written before Christ and the New Testament which was written after Christ. As concerning the authenticity of the Bible, the Apostle Paul says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God..." 2 Timothy 3:16.
The books of the King James Version of the Bible have been divided into chapters and verses to make references easier to find. This version of the Bible contains 1,189 chapters, 929 in the Old Testament and 260 in the New Testament. The longest chapter is Psalm 119, with 176 verses and the shortest is Psalm 117, with only 33 words. The middle chapter is Psalm 117. The books of Jude, Obadiah, Philemon and II John and III John are only one chapter long.
The Bible has 31,101 verses. The Old Testament contains 23,144 verses, the New Testament 7,957. The middle verse of the Bible is Psalm 103:2 which is verse number 15,551 of 31,101. The shortest verse is "Jesus wept," John 11:35 and the longest is Esther 8:9.
