"Amen!"
This week, let us look at what it means when we end the prayer
with "Amen". One small word and yet it is so meaningful.
For one, "amen" is an Aramaic word meaning "I
agree" or "so be it" and it is usually not to
be taken lightly.
When a person prays and he is joined by another, whatever that
person prays for and the other agrees with the request, there
is unity in the prayer and this will strengthen the request.
The Lord Himself spoke of this when He promised His disciples
that where two or three Believers gather together to pray or
to have fellowship, He will be there in the midst (Matthew 18:
20).

Solomon, Rehoboam decided that he would force these renegades
to submit to his sovereignty and to pay the taxes which were
their reason for leaving. This would have pitted brother against
brother in open civil war.
