Chapter 1

Chapter 1

He is standing there, doing nothing. Just staring at the crowd standing near a tall cliff. A bluish haired girl stands on the top of the cliff. She looks like she's a sacrifice or something like that. He swallows his saliva as he feels the tension there.

She begins moving elegantly, looks like she's doing the 'Kuruta Morning Ceremony'. She did it while crying. After done with the ceremony, she took a deep breath, and mutters something. Then she jumped down the cliff.

"NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted hysterically.

A blonde guy is sitting on his bed while breathing heavily, that is the worst nightmare he ever has. He then began thinking, how come that girl know the 'Kuruta Morning Ceremony'? He even doesn't know her. And what does she says? All the questions are still a mystery.

Meanwhile, Killua, Gon and Leorio are serving breakfast in the kitchen. Killua gulped as he saw Leorio's omelet that looks like a monster's eye. "Ugh, it's disgusting!" he complained. After some time, Killua asked, "Why don't we ask Kurapika? He can cook," he has been wondering about it for some time.

Gon shook his head, "He's still asleep," Killua eyed him, "How come you're so sure?" he asked disbelievingly. Gon frowned, "At least give him some rest," he said.

After some minutes, the dishes are already prepared even they all are disgusting. Never know the taste before trying it right? Gon walked towards Kurapika's room. He knocked the door and called him but there's no answer. He does it ten times and still there's no answer.

He started to get worried, he walked back to the kitchen. The others stared at him while he looks really really worried. "What's wrong, Gon?" Killua asked him. After telling the others about that, they went to Kurapika's room. Gon called him again and still no answer, the room is locked so they can't go in.

Killua started to get impatient and shouted from outside, "It's already 12 o'clock so you better get up!" Gon and Leorio closed their ears, "Ouch, don't need to shout like that, Killua," Leorio commented. "Is it already 12 o'clock?" Gon asked with his usual innocent smile on his face. The others sweatdropped.

After hearing Killua's shout, that actually hurts his ears, he comes back to reality. He has been thinking for the answer that he didn't notice anything around him for past few minutes.

He then jumped down from his bed and quickly opened the door, "Is it really 12 o'clock?" he asked. Killua and Leorio sweatdropped more and sighed. "Of course no," Killua said. "Why don't you answer when I call you?" Gon asked worriedly.

He smiled at Gon, "Sorry, I'm just thinking about something," he said. "Oh, okay," Gon said cheerfully. Then they go to the kitchen, Kurapika stares disbelievingly at the dishes. "OMG," he sighed.

After eating breakfast, they went to the forest to play. They walked slowly and they reached a tall cliff in the middle of the forest.

I feel confused, I don't know there's a cliff here. I shift my glance to the top, and to my horror, I saw that girl again. Looks like the others noticed it too. She does the morning ceremony again, and mutters something again. But this time, I can hear what she says clearly.

I now sacrifice my life to the Goddess of Light

And grant this morning ceremony to the Kuruta tribe

As the holy priestess of the Kuruta tribe

And the Goddess of Light shall grant my wish

My last wish

Protect the Kuruta tribe forever

Then she jumped down, I was shocked so I can't move even an inch. She doesn't need to do that, 'coz after she sacrificed, the Kuruta genocide happens. I feel sorry for her, then I shouted in sadness, "NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

(narrated by Killua)

After hearing his shout, I quickly turned to him. He lost his consciousness and falls down. I quickly caught him or he would bump on the rocky path. I know he's shocked, we're shocked too even if we can't hear what she says. Seeing a girl jumped down like that would make everyone shocked.

After he fell unconscious, we decided to bring him home. Gon is the one who worries most, frankly, I'm worried too. It's normal, my friend fell unconscious and I'm not worried is impossible. Leorio quickly checked him. After some time, he said Kurapika is okay. Nothing wrong.

Gon jumps around cheerfully, how childish, but that's what I like most from him. They went to the forest to find some medical herbs for him, while I was asked to watch him. I sat on the windowsill and stared outside, waiting for any sign of consciousness of the pretty blonde beside me.

(narrated by Kurapika)

I saw her in my dream, she's standing in front of me. I began asking her, "Why do you sacrifice for Kuruta tribe? You don't need to! After you sacrificed, the Kuruta tribe is massacred!"

She shook her head. She stares at me with eyes full of affection.
I must do that

Even if the tribe is massacred

And I tell you

As the last survivor of the Kuruta

You're full with my blessings

And the Goddess of Light's blessings

And if you have find your true friends

Never ever let them go
Then she disappears, at the same time, I feel like I was forced to regain all my consciousness. I waked up with a slight groan and stared blankly at the ceiling.

(narrated by Killua)

I hear a slight groan. He must be awake. I approached him. "Kurapika, daijoubu?" I asked him worriedly. But, instead of answering, he hugged me. And I saw the exact same girl beside him.

"!!"
