Chapter Nine

“I’m starting to get a little cabin fever,” Michele said as she playfully hopped off the bed and the walked to the window.
She flew back the curtain, causing Lance to moan as he squinted his eyes at the bright light. “Michele, are you insane.”
“It’s a beautiful day,” she said as she walked back over to the bed.
“We can enjoy it perfectly from here,” he said stood on his knees and shuffled over to her. Since his face came to her neck, he took advantage of that and started to lightly kiss it. “Come back to bed,” he mumbled.
“That damn voice again,” she sighed as she ran her fingers through his blonde hair. “It should be banned.”
He chuckled against his neck and then looked up at her. “What do you want to do?”
She smiled. “Play in the snow.”
He grinned. “Well, hell why didn’t you say so! Let’s go!”
They both bundled up in warm clothes, before heading out. “Should we ask the rest to come along.”
Lance gave her an uneasy look. “I don’t want to interrupt anything.”
She laughed. “Good point,” she said and then tugged at his arm.
JC groaned as her hands kneaded his bare back. “Sweetie, whatever you do…DON’T stop!”
She chuckled as she rubbed his shoulders. JC was laying flat on his stomach and she was straddling him as she worked out the kinks of his tired muscles. “You’re back is in knots,” she said as she concentrated on a knot.
“I know,” he mumbled into the pillow. “I haven’t had a massage in forever. You are a lot better then the masseuse we have on tour. Want a job?”
She let out a laugh as she ran her hands up his back and concentrated on his broad shoulders. “Sure, if you don’t mind me rubbing my hands all over the guys while they’re laying half naked.”
“Never mind,” he grunted. “You could be my private masseuse, though.”
“On tour?” she laughed. “I think I’ll leave that to the professionals. But off the clock I’m all yours.”
He smiled with his eyes still closed. “I like the sound of that.”
“Hey, did you hear that?” she asked as she paused her hands on his shoulders.
“Nope, not at all,” he said. “Keep those hands a moving, Syd.”
“It sounds like Michele,” she said ignoring him as she got off of him and ran to the window.
JC groaned in protest. “Syd, please bring you and your magical hands back here.”
“It is them,” she said with a laugh. “They’re having a snowball fight.”
“Good for them,” he mumbled. “Come back here.”
She smiled as she turned around. “Get dressed.”
“Syd,” he mumbled in his pillow. “I don’t like that phrase.”
She laughed as she grabbed her jeans and sweater and walked to the bathroom. “Fine, if you want to play in the snow with just your sports shorts on, that’s your business.”
“Are you kidding? I’d freeze my ass off.”
“Then I suggest you change,” she said and then shut the door behind her.
JC flinched and then sighed in defeat. “Damn,” he mumbled as he lazily got off the bed. He felt so relaxed he could hardly walk. He let out a curse as he grabbed his jeans that were lying on the floor. “So much for staying in.”
While they were getting dress, Joey and Georgia were goofing off playing the slap game. “OW!” she winced when his hand slipped from underneath hers and slapped her hand. “Joey, that’s it, I hate this game.”
“Well, if you’d move your hands fast enough,” he said and then quickly slapped her hand again and she growled in frustration. “You won’t get slapped.”
“Can I be underneath now,” she whined.
He gave her a devilish grin. “You know you don’t need to ask.”
She rolled her eyes as she placed her hands underneath him. “Pervert,” she mumbled and then tried to slap his hands but ended up slapping her own because he was too Fast. “DAMMIT!!”
“Okay my turn,” he said as he put his hands under her.
She pulled them back. “I went once!”
“Yeah, and you missed,” he pointed out. “If you miss, you have to switch.”
She sighed. “Whatever, I don’t want to play anymore. Let’s do something I’m bored.” She then stood up and started to jump on the bed.
Joey looked up at her strange. “I think your going crazy.”
“I think I need to get out of this room for a bit,” she said and then leaped down and walked to the window. “Well, hey Lance and Michele are out there. Let’s go join them.”
Joey walked over to her and slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her to him. “Sounds like a plan,” he said as he nuzzled her neck and then playfully bit her neck.
“That mouth of yours is going to get in trouble one day,” she said as she reached behind him and cupped the back of his neck.
“You know you love it,” he said as touched her skin with the tip of his pink tongue. “Let’s hurry and get dressed before I forget about going outside.”
  She sighed. “Good idea.”
They both quickly got dressed and ran into JC and Sydney who were stumbling out of the room while their lips constantly met as if they were attached together like magnets. “I swear, it took ya’ll forever to get together, now I haven’t seen ya’ll apart once,” Joey said.
JC looked over at them and grinned. “I can’t seem to stay away,” he said. “You know how I feel though, Joey.”
Joey smiled at Georgia. “I sure do,” he said and then gave her a quick kiss. “We were just going to join Michele and Lance.”
“So were we,” JC said as he finally pulled away, but reached down and clasped his fingers with hers.
They made their way down and walked past the security guards who were at the kitchen table playing poker. “Care to join us, big guy?” JC asked Lonnie as he patted him on the back.
“Nope, I’m on a roll, baby!” he said as he dealt the cards. “I’m emptying their pockets left and right.”
“No wonder they’re new,” JC said as he shook his head at the guards. “NEVER play poker with Lonnie. We all learned the hard way.”
“We are too,” Greg mumbled as he threw down his hand.
He just chuckled and then they made their way out to the balcony to see Michele and Lance building a snowman. “Hey guys,” Joey said.
They turned. “Hey, come and join us,” Michele said as she watched them walk down the stairs. “Careful the snow is really…” Joey yelped as he fell in the snow. Michele winced. “Deep,” she finished with a laugh.
Joey laughed as he got up and brushed himself off. The snow came up to his knees. “Well, that was fun,” he said and then held a hand out to Georgia as he carefully helped her down.
JC and Sydney went down as well and they slowly made their way to where Lance and Michel were. The snow wasn’t as deep where they were. “Nice snow man,” JC said as he looked at the pitiful thing.
Michele sensed his sarcasm and pushed him. “Hey, we’re from Florida, give us a break.”
He laughed. “Well, I’m from Maryland and so I’m an expert when it comes to making a snowman.”
“Yeah, well you make your own,” Lance said as he patted his glove on their snowman. “I happen to like our small one.”
He shook his head. “No, I don’t have the proper tools,” he said. “If I can’t make a good one, then I’m not making one at all.”
Joey rolled his eyes. “Even making a snowman he has to be perfect. Jeez.” JC answered by balling up a snowball and threw it at him right in the back of his head. “HEY!” he winced and then made a snowball and threw it back.
JC ducked to avoid the hit before throwing him another. He was laughing at Joey that he didn’t pay attention to Georgia and she threw one at him and it smacked right in his face. “Take that, C!”
“My hero!” Joey laughed as he hugged her.
“Oh, it’s so on,” Sydney said as she threw a snowball at Georgia.
“Hey!” she said in shock and then threw one back.
It was JC and Sydney against Georgia and Joey and they laughed as they ducked flying snowballs. At one point, the teams stopped and it was every man for themselves. JC surprised Sydney by pushing a handful of snow down her shirt.
She gasped in shock and spun around. “You are SO dead!” she said as she lunged for him and they both laughed as they fell together on the snow.
  “Hey Lance,” Joey said.
Lance looked up from his snowman. “Y…” He didn’t even have time to answer because a snowball smacked him right in the face. He stood there completely still before he brushed of the wet snow from his face. “Michele, I’m sorry but I’m gonna have to kill the snowman,” he said and then grabbed the large ball of snow and hurdled it right at Joey.
Snow bits slapped him like rain and he covered his face with a laugh. Michele giggled. “It was worth the sacrifice.”
JC was still rolling on the snow with Sydney who was now on top of him pushing his head in the snow. “Syd, stop,” he laughed and then grunted as he leaned up and rolled her over and pinned her to the snow.
She tried to wiggle her way free. “LET GO!”
He laughed. “Not a chance,” he said with a grin. “Say ‘uncle’.”
“Not a chance in hell,” she snapped and then lifted her knee suddenly.
“Woah,” JC said as he flinched. “Sweetie, be careful. That sharp knee of yours almost hit a sensitive area.”
“Oh, well better luck next time,” she said.
  He laughed. “Say UNCLE!”
She shook her head. “Will someone help me please!”
“On your own, Syd!” Georgia yelled and then shrieked when Joey threw her over his shoulder and spun her around.
“Yeah, we have our own problems,” Michele said as she dodged a snowball and then leaped on top of Lance and tried to take him down. Lance laughed and then finally gave up and they both fell backwards on the snow.
“Say it,” he said as he pinned down her wrists above her head.
“Let me go,” she laughed. “I will NOT say it!”
He leaned his head down until his mouth was only a whisper away. “Say it,” he said huskily and then kissed her softly on the lips.
Her breath quickened. “Not…going…to work,” she said between his kisses.
He ran his lips down her jaw line and then nuzzled her neck. “Saaaay iiiiit,” he taunted and then nibbled on her ear.
She let out a frustrating groan. “UNCLE!” she finally managed to say. “YOU HAPPY!”
He looked down at her. “Very,” he said and then gave her a loud smacking kiss and then stood up and yanked her up on her feet. Oh, I’ve got a great idea, he guys?”
“Yeah,” Joey laughed as he grabbed a handful of snow and rubbed it in her hair.
Georgia squirmed beneath him. “Dammit, Joey that’s cold!”
“I say we get um…Lonnie out here,” JC said with a grin.
Lance and Michele stopped rolling around in the snow and looked up at him. “Really?” Lance asked. “Do tell what you’re thinking in that evil mind of yours.
Inside, Lonnie had just won another round of poker. “Ha! I told you I never bluff,” he said as he threw down a two pair.
“Damn,” Greg said. “NO one can be THAT lucky.”
  “LOOONNNIEEE!!!”
Lonnie turned to the window. “What do they want?” he asked annoyingly.
“Go check it out,” Greg said. “We’ll play another round so we can actually have a chance at winning.”
“Yeah, enjoy it while you can,” he said as he got up. “I’ll be right back.” He walked towards the sliding door and stepped out. “Yeah…Oh sh it!” he yelled as he tucked his head under his arm to avoid the snowballs that were slamming into them. “You guys I swear!” he yelled as he grabbed the hand for the door and opened up and quickly stepped in and closed the door just in time to dodge another snowball. He flinched when it smacked in the glass. He creaked the door open. “You guys better sleep with one eye open tonight!” he yelled and then slammed the door to cut off their laughs. “I don’t have kids, oh no, instead I have brats to take care of.” He sighed as he sat down at the poker table.
“What happened to you?” Greg said with a laugh.
“Let’s just say I wish I took the job as Pope’s bodyguard instead of this,” he mumbled. “Let’s play."
