PART TWO

  Thoughts were constantly running through Cierra's head as they all rode down the elevator. When they reached the bottom they took a secret door out the back. This took them down a long hallway and out behind the hotel. There was a car waiting there for them. The four of them piled into the car and it took them to Putt-Putt.
  "I haven't ridden in one of those go-cart things since I was like twelve," Lance said as they drove past the go-cart section. He looked over at Cierra and she was staring out the window. She obviously had something on her mind. "Hey Cierra, are you alright? You haven't said a word the whole way here."
  She turned her head immediately, "Yes, I am fine Lance. I'm just thinking, that's all." Cierra couldn't seem to shake the incident that had just taken place at the hotel. JC kissed her, and she didn't know why. "So Melissa, are you ready to kick some major butt?" Cierra tried to prove that she was ok by mentioning how bad the guys were gonna get beat when they all went to the go-carts.
  "Girl you know I'm ready!"
  "What are you talking about?!?! Oh my goodness, you know that girls can't drive!" Justin was really putting his two cents in. "Right Lance? No competition, we're gonna kick their butts."
  "I hate to put you ladies down, but yes, we'll win…" Lance only agreed with Justin because if he didn't Justin would ride his butt all day about him trying to suck up in front of Melissa.
  "Ok, guys, WHATEVER!" Cierra was really getting into it now!
  "We'll show them," Melissa said as they pulled into the parking lot. Melissa was right when she said that not many people would be there. As they looked around, they barely saw anyone. Just a few kids were there, and they were like under the age of ten.
  Lance and Melissa started to walk towards the line, which was empty. Justin and Cierra were behind them, and Justin, trying to be sly, put his hand on the small of Cierra's back as they neared Missy and Lance. Cierra noticed Justin's hand on her back, but said nothing of it. She walked up to Missy and kind of smiled and winked. She could tell that Melissa was having a great time, and the night hadn't even begun yet.
  They all bought their tickets and then switched into the go-cart line. Each of them got into a car and waited for them to start. "One… two… three…" the guy at the front of the line said. They were off. Melissa took the lead right off. She obviously had a lead foot. Her blonde hair blew in the wind and turned her head back to see where everyone else was. Justin wasn't far behind her. It was seconds later that Cierra passed Lance and Justin. She was dead even with Missy. They both were trying to yell to each other as the curved the corner.
  "Missy I have to talk to you! Something happened and I need to talk about it. I am going crazy here!" Cierra knew that right now was the only time she'd get to talk to Missy tonight without the guys hearing them.
  "What? What happened? Hey, just tell me when we are done. We have one lap left, and we are winning. But concentrate because the guys are getting closer!" Melissa said as she turned and saw Justin and Lance yelling and getting closer.
  "Ok, go with me when I call my mom so I can tell you!" Cierra yelled as Missy sped up a little more.
  "Lance, we can't let them beat us. We're gonna have to listen to them saying that they were right and we were wrong. Floor it buddy!" Justin hit the gas and passed up Lance and got closer to Cierra.
  The lights on the track turned orange, and then red. They won! The girls beat the guys. Ha! All of the cars lined up in the garage and when they were told to, they all unbuckled and got out. Lance went straight up to Melissa and said that she was one crazy female driver. Melissa just smiled.
  "Man, I got stuck with the stupid car! It wouldn't go as fast as I could handle," Justin said as he started with the excuses that Cierra knew he would come up with. "I think we should go play some video games! I know for sure I could beat you on those."
  "Haha, Justy I knew you'd think of something to say about why WE beat you guys. Just admit it… we're better than y'all!" Cierra loved the fact that she could rub this into his face!
  The four of them walked across the street and headed to the main building where the arcade room was. Lance and Melissa were walking behind Cierra and Justin. They were giggling about something, but Cierra couldn't hear what it was about. Ci turned around and motioned for Missy to come up there. Missy touched Lance's arm and then said, "Hey, I'm going to go with CiCi to call her mom, we'll be back later."
  "Hey Justin, we'll be back. We're going to call me mom and let her know what our plans are for the night. Even though we don't know what they are yet! Ha!" Cierra said as she and Missy walked to the porch on the side of the building.
  The girls sat down at the table and Cierra took out her phone and dialed her number. It rang twice and then her mom picked up. "Mom, hey. Uhm, Missy and I are at Putt Putt right now. We're just messing around. I dunno what we're gonna do tonight though."
  "Well, do you have an idea of when you two will be back?"
  Cierra covered the phone and whispered to Missy, "Hey do you wanna stay at my house tonight? She'll let us stay out later if she knows we're together."
  "Yeah."
  "Not really. Is it okay if Missy stays the night?"
  "Yes, I don't care. You two be careful and don't stay out all night."
  "Okay mom, thanks. I'll talk to you later. Bye!" Cierra hit END on her cell phone and set it on the table. She looked towards Missy and the look in her eye gave it away.
  "CiCi what's wrong? What was it that you wanted to tell me when we were on the track?"
  Cierra looked in the door to the arcade room and saw Lance and Justin playing some video game. She leaned closer to Missy and said, "He kissed me."
  "What?! When? I have been with you guys the whole time. Is he good kisser?"
  "No, Missy that's not what I am talking about." Cierra said as her eyes got wider and Missy got a look of confusion on her face.
  "What do you mean that's not what you are talking about? Ci, talk to me."   "Missy, JC kissed me…"
  "He did what?! When were you with him?!" Missy was so surprised she could barely think, let alone talk straight.
  "At the hotel. When I went back for my purse. I ran into him on the way out, and it just happened. I don't know how, or why, but it did. He like ran out afterwards. I saw him in the hall as I was walking to the elevator and he just apologized, then walked into his room. I don't know what to think."
  "Man girl. I don't know what to tell you." Missy looked as though she had seen a ghost because she was so surprised by the whole thing.
  Cierra took a deep breath and then looked into the room at Justin again. He saw her and he smiled. He started like he was going to go to her, but she put up her hand to let him know that they were on there way in there.
  "Well, I'm not saying anything to Justin. I'm just going to drop it. Don't say anything to Lance okay Miss?"
  "Ok"

  JC sat on his bed with his computer on his lap. He was talking to his best friend Tony online.


  JC: Tony I don't know what I just did man.
  Tony: What are you talking about C?
  JC: I just did something.
  JC: something that I didn't mean to do
  JC: but I wanted to do it.
  JC: I dunno…
  Tony: Dude you are making no sense.
  JC: I just kissed this girl. She was in Justy's room getting her purse and I kissed her. I went in there to get my watch that I left in there and when I saw her, I just kinda…
  JC: did it.
  Tony: C - is she Justy's chic?
  JC: well, not exactly, but he does like her, I think.
  JC: that's why I feel so bad. But… I dunno
  Tony: do you like her too?
  JC: I dunno who I like or what I want.
  Tony: Well, I don't know what to tell you dude.
  Tony: You better figure it out though cuz hitting on the girl that Justin likes isn't the best way to start things off.
  Tony: Does she like you?
  JC: I dunno.
  Tony: You just need to think C, you are a total space case right now. You obviously aren't thinking straight.
  JC: I know I know.
  Tony: Get some sleep. I'll call ya up later and we can chill. I'm flying in tonight.
  JC: Ok, later

  JC closed out his chat box and shut his computer. He leaned back in his bed and put his arms behind his head. He shut his eyes and soon after, fell asleep.

  Cierra and Melissa walked into the arcade and went up to Lance and Justin. The two of them were playing some fighting game. Melissa looked around and then spotted her favorite game.
  "CiCi come play with me!" Cierra turned and saw Missy standing at the game. It was that game that you had to hit the alligators on the head as they popped out. Each time you hit one before they go back in, then you get a point.
  "Justin do you have a token that we can use?" Cierra asked Justin.
  As Justin was pounding the buttons on the machine he said, "Yeah, sure. They are in my right pocket." Cierra's eyes got wide. This means that he wanted her to get them. "Just go ahead and take a few."
  "Uhm, Ok" she said as she slowly stuck her hand into his pocket and grabbed some tokens. "Thanks."
  "Uh huh… Damn Lance, stop it!" Justin lost his train of thought as Lance started being the crap out of him in the game.
  Missy put the token in that Cierra got from Justin. The game started and both of the started hitting the gators with all that they had. "Pow! Bam! Haha, that's what you get!" Missy was totally getting into the game. 134 bites flashed across the screen as the game ended. Missy knelt down and took the tickets out that she had just won. Cierra laughed as Missy yelled at the game because the ticket dispenser got jammed.
  "Give me my tickets!" Missy started to hit the machine. Just then Lance came up behind here and asked her what she was yelling for. "It won't give me my tickets Lance!"
  "Missy hold on and I'll go get someone to get you the dumb tickets!" Cierra said.
  As Cierra turned to get someone, she ran into Justin. "Sorry Ci," he said as he moved out of her way and smiled at her.
  Cierra went to the desk and got a guy to come and help them. After he helped Missy get her tickets they went and played a few other games. They ended up getting a lot of tickets. When they all were finally getting bored, they went to the prize desk to redeem their tickets for little prizes. Missy had all the tickets combined and so she is the one who got the stuff. She got each of them a friendship bracelet, some candy, and the little bouncy balls. All of them took their stuff… put on their bracelets and then headed towards the car.

  Cierra and Justin got in first, and then Lance and Missy. Lance reached over and shut the door and told the driver to hold on just a minute. "Hey girls, what do you want to do now?" he asked.
  "Oh I don't care" Missy said as she looked towards Cierra.
  Cierra looked towards Justin and said the same thing. Justin looked around, then at his watch. "Well ladies, do you want to go back to the hotel and chill? We aren't going to have much free time tomorrow to do things, so we need to make a good day out of today." Justin had no clue what they would do at the hotel, but he figured that it was an idea at least.
  "Hey, we could go swimming if y'all want," Lance said with a sparkle in his eye. "I mean, we could get the other guys, and just all hang out at the pool in the hotel. The management told us that if we wanted to go up there and be alone just to tell them and they would block it off to the rest of the hotel."
  Cierra shot Missy a look of pure fear. Missy knew exactly what she was thinking.
  "I think that's a great idea," Justin blurted out before the girls had a chance to say anything. "Are you girls okay with that? We could stop by your house to get your suits."
  "Uhm," Missy looked at Cierra for the answer. Cierra nodded her head and Missy said, "Sure. Ci, you have a suit at my house, so we'll just stop there."
  The car started and Missy yelled directions up to the driver. They finally made it to her house and her and Cierra ran in to get their stuff. As they were walking in Cierra started to talk to Melissa. "Missy, if all the guys go with us that means that JC is going to be there. What am I going to say to him? Should I just ignore the issue and see what happens?"
  "I think so girl. Just see if he says anything to you first. Ya know, play off of his moves." Missy honestly had no clue what else to tell her. All she knew was that she was about to get into a pool with five of the hottest guys around. And hello, they would have no shirts on!
  Meanwhile the guys are in the car and talking about all they fun they had at Putt Putt. "Lance, did you have fun?"
  "Heck ya man. Those girls are awesome to chill with. They are so weird, it's fun!" Lance said as he started to laugh.
  "Oh I know what you mean. Their ditziness is too adorable. Hey, did you notice anything different with Cierra? I mean, she seemed kind of weirded out."
  "Yeah, I noticed it. Maybe she was just thinking about something. I dunno."
  "Oh well, I guess if something was really wrong she'd say something. Well I hope she would at least," Justin said.
  The girls went into Missy's room and got their suits. They put them in a bag along with a towel for each of them. After they gathered up everything, they headed towards the front door. Missy left a note for her mom that said she was staying the night at Cierra's house. Just as they were about to head out the front door the phone rang.
  "Hello."
  "Hey girl! It's Anna!"
  "Oh hey! I thought you and Vickie were out of town."
  "Nah, well… we went but we came back because there weren't many people there. None that were of interest at least. So what are you guys up to?"
  "Well, not a lot," she said as her voice trailed off and she covered the phone. She whispered to Cierra, "it's Anna and Vickie. They are back now. Run out and ask the guys if it would be ok if they came to the hotel with us to go swimming. Maybe it will make things a little easier if there are a bunch of us."
  "Ok"
  "Hey Anna, can you hold on a minute?"
  "Sure thing."
  Missy set down the phone and brushed her hair as she waited for Cierra to come back with the answer. Just then Ci came back in. "The guys said the more the better."
  "Anna hey, do you and Vickie want to chill with us tonight?"
  "Sure, what are we doing?"
  "Well get your swim suit and meet us downstairs in the lobby at the Omni."
  "The Omni? Oh man, are the guys there?" Anna asked with a lot of excitement in her voice.
  "Yeah, we've been with them all day. We are about to go swimming."
  "Ok, we'll be there in a few. See you soon!" Anna hung up.
  Missy hung up her phone and nodded to Cierra to let her know that the plans were on. They both then headed to the car. Justin got out so that Missy could sit next to Lance again. Then he let Cierra get in, then he got in and shut the door. They told the driver to take them back to the hotel. After sitting in traffic for ten minutes, which is not bad at all, they made it to the hotel. The driver took them to the back again and they got out and took to elevator up to the main floor. Cierra and Missy stayed there so that they could wait for Anna and Vickie. Justin and Lance went upstairs so they could talk to the other guys.

  Justin knocked on JC's door. He got up and answered it. "Yeah," he said as he opened it and saw Justin standing there.
  "Hey, come swimming with us. The girls are gonna go too."
  "Why you want me to go?" JC said with wonder that maybe Justin knew what had happened earlier that day.
  "Just because all of us are going. Lance went to tell the hotel management to shut off access to the pool so we could go."
  "Ok, I'll be up there in a few," JC said as he started to untuck his black tank top.
  Justin went next door to Chris's room. Chris was on the phone with his girlfriend when he told Justin to come in. Justin stood there waiting for a minute. "Ok, love you too. Talk to you tomorrow," Chris said as he hung up. "What do you want J?"
  "Hey, you want to go swimming with us guys and the girls that we met up with last time we were here?"
  "Sure."
  "Ok. Hey, can you go tell Joey so I can go get changed?"
  "Sure thing. You know he'll be up for it."
  Justin walked into his room and his phone was ringing.
"Hello," he said.
  "J, its me. Hey Tony is due in pretty soon. So he's gonna go up there with us alright?"
  "Yeah JC that's fine."
  "Ok, well I'll be up there when he gets here. Later." JC hung up the phone and dialed Tony's cell number to check when he'd be in.

  Anna and Vickie walked in the front door and saw Missy and Cierra sitting on the couches in the middle of the room. They walked up to them and sat down.
  "Hey y'all!" Vickie said with a huge smile on her face.
  "Hey hey!" Cierra said in return.
  Anna looked around the room then asked, "where are the guys at?"
  Missy answered back with a quick reply, "they are upstairs waiting for us."
  With that, they all got up and headed to the desk. The guy at the desk was the same cute one from earlier so he knew who they were and where they were going. "Ladies," he said, "Lance just called and said to send the four of you up to the pool."
  "Alright," Cierra said as she and the other girls followed him to the back elevator. Once again he slid the card in the door and punched a floor level button. Up they went.
  Missy and Cierra had decided not to tell Anna and Vickie about the whole incident that went on with Cierra and JC earlier that day. Ci wanted to find out what was going on first, before she said anything to anyone else.
  The elevator stopped and the got out. They took the hallway down and to the left, it was the only way you could go. The first thing they saw was Lance standing on the diving board. His body wet from being in the pool already, and his hair slicked almost straight back. Melissa almost died right there and then.
