SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

Played a key role in project of monumental proportions between two corporate giants. Created a new training organization within a 9-month deadline, while continuing to manage an existing one. Traveled to 3 major cities to procure information required to write the bid. Managed staffing and logistics; Result: Trained 800 service representatives; created and managed a $5.5 million dollar budget underbidding the client by 50%.

 

Acquired control over a sizeable poorly managed training and documentation group and transformed it into a solid working entity. Instrumental in championing the Training Department's cause for a process committee and negotiated the inclusion of the Training Department's processes and procedures in the overall project schedule Result: Eliminated $1,530,880/year in contract labor costs.

 

Saved employment of entire department of 12 people by finding additional work for them to do. Result: Aggressively sought and obtained $360,000 of billable work through both internal and external sources.

 

Translated business needs into an effective software application design. RESULT: Critical member of our management team, formed to translate business needs in to an effective software design. Our multi-faceted team successfully developed a complex electronic publishing system used by 160 members of our organization.

 

ADDITIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

Managed United Way Campaign while continuing to manage 31 people located in multiple Kodak locations. Result: Received a recognition award from our division president for outstanding contributions to this effort.

 

Successfully motivated employees, identifying their career goals, and helping them to achieve their goals by means of a Career Development Worksheet and process. Result: Promotion of several employees to higher pay grades and positions occurred.

 

Continuing a successful career in three other companies after leaving a fruitful career at Kodak. Result: Gaining the experience of working in small companies and learning how they are able to deliver completed projects faster than large companies.

 

Authored and published an original science fiction book titled, Not Without Protest. Result: This book is on the shelves of 15 local libraries and is available from numerous Internet sites including Barnes & Noble, Amazon Books, and 1stBooksLibrary.

 

Developed and delivered a new PowerPoint course, Navigating Through the Sea of Goals© 2003, Vincent P. Rosella, to Bernard Haldane Associates of Rochester, NY. Beginning in January 2004, will teach this course in Pittsford, NY Recreation.
