Losers
The Tragic Story of:

We had a big story on here about the real, embarrassing history of this band from teenage losers starting an imaginary band to a completely different band(apart from Dee) with a completely different agenda. In the light of the fact that the current incarnation is the only one that ever actually knew what it was doing, we'll concentrate on it. In August 2002, original drummer Donal Loughran left the band to become a full time bum. Remaining members Dee Fullen and Gerard Conroy got a quick replacement in Ciderboy but he got pissed and forgot all the songs at the first gig. Gerard then asked Nigel Simpson who he'd been interested in for a while to join and they bought Ciderboy off with some White Lightning. Nigel learned the old songs and they jazzed them up as good as they could get. They recorded them, but soon after they realised that this wasn't their sound, as they'd been jamming better stuff on stage for quite a while. So they stuck a tape recorder in the corner and recorded some amazingly beautiful music, with thunderous, jazzy, intense drumming, straight up basslines and spacey, atmopheric FX-laden guitar, comparable to everything from The Verve to Sigur Rós to Jeff Buckley to Smashing Pumpkins to Timbuktu(not a band, a place known as being about as far away as you can get), yet managing to sound nothing like any of them in a way. These new songs make up their new forthicoming ep and will be hitting stages near you very soon.
Get ready to be sonically raped.
