Glenrothes defeated Hill Of Beath in the Peddie Smith Maloco Cup at Recreation Park  Rosyth. A very low key match which probably would have warmed up if Haw's Darren Wright's effort on the 3 minute mark had gone in. Darren hit a superb volley from 20 yards off the crossbar and bouncing downward off the goal line. Haws protested that it had gone over the line. Glens hit the woodwork on the 48 minute mark after John Overstone header with the olny goal of the match coming in 79 minutes A mistake from the Haws goalkeeper Ross Harrower allowed Glens  Gordon Love a simple pass to Martin Grant who side footed the ball into the Haws net. This ended a poor season for the Haws with no silverware and relegation from the East Super League.
