(NYT's) Thomas Friedman's "Searching for the Roots of 9/11", or 'The Source of 9/11', 'Arab Muslim World after 9/11', is to be aired on CNN this Thursday (October 22, 2003).
Thomas focuses on the "rage" of Arab Muslims that 'caused' 9/11 (in his words).
Mr. Friedman though admitted that poverty is not the 'cause', citing the classic example of 9/11 hijacker Muhammad Atta (& others) that came from a middle class background, stated that it is rather their 'humiliation', stopped short of replying a real reply when asked (on CNN yesterday, October 20, 2003) as 'Why Arab Muslims are the only ones that turn their 'humiliation' into this savagery, "religious" massacres Jihadi Evil, he only hinting that it is already a matter of "culture"...
In fact what Thomas Friedman hinted IS the real problem, what he did not elaborated was supposed to be the exact essence of his 'program.'
No matter what conflict Arab Muslims will have at any corner around the globe, the screaming truth is that it is those Mullahs, leaders & yes most of their Mainstream media that in that dangerous apologetic, inciting, justifying of this evil path.
This is the source of 9/11, that exploitation, that leaders' shifting & using these emotions either as their proxy human-bombs or to terrorize the West as a whole: 'To teach the West to be afraid of them & to suffer for THEIR Humiliations, no matter that their main problems are caused by those same vicious tyrant leaders.
This hinted answer on an interview outside the program-film, should have been the entire focus inside that limping program.
Let's be realistic, you'll never satisfy entire huge Islamo-Arab population even with suicidal concessions, but you'll always end up at their leaders/media manipulations & exploitation.
Remember:
It is not what we in the West do or don't, but what THEY are being TAUGHT to DO.
