Re: Throwing Stones

Jan-07-04

Dear AP

Thank you NOT for another 'Blaming Israel the Victim'.. syndrome.

Re: your cynical calling, buttering up those DANGEROUS-ROCK throwers, as "protesters".

What on earth is a "protester" with a BRICK from the top of buildings?

Are they not plain MURDERERS? How not?

What exactly was/is their intention by taking such huge CONSTRUCTION-BRICKS to smash them upon skulls?

But it goes fine well with YOUR sweet 'freedomfighting' attached on BABY MURDERERS.

Remember Bin Laden & the Bali Bomber, etc., are just 'protesting'.

Can't you finally see that it is YOUR kind of 'language' & 'reporting', that's how they rationalize their atrocities in the first place?

Shame!

From M.S.

Dear
Associated Press editor:

In regard to your article about the January 3rd incident,
"On Saturday, troops opened fire at a large number of Palestinians throwing stones
,..."

Why is it that you're so quick to believe facts handed to you by a Palestinian regarding any situation where Israelis are involved? The only conclusion for such blatant misrepresentation of the truth and the guilt by omission of it, has to be naked bias, if not outright anti-Semitism.

In the USA individuals are routinely placed under arrest for dropping, or even attempting to drop rocks or chunks of concrete on human beings. It's not a harmless act -- it's attempted murder. In one case here in my city a person driving beneath an underpass was killed because he was hit by a large chunk of concrete just like the one in the photo.

Shouldn't Israelis, the IDF, be able to defend themselves from having their heads smashed by Palestinians dropping large stones? Or must they die to prove something to the camera wielding vultures who consistently deny their right to protect themselves from grievous bodily harm or murder?

Is it so difficult to get to the bottom of a story? Or is it collusion?

Sincerely,
M.S.

From Jeanne:

I don't blame those soldiers for defending themselves. When will the Palestinians learn that if you throw large rocks at well-armed soldiers, the odds are that you will not survive???

Rocks thrown at cars shatter the windshield the other day.  Fortunatly the driver was not seriously hurt.

Dear Aris! Unlike kids like:

Infant stoning victim dies of wounds

that were not so fortunate.

Five-month old Israeli infant Yehuda Shoham, who was seriously wounded, died June 11 2001 of wounds. Shoham was hit in the head by a rock thrown by a Palestinian-Arab in the car his father was driving on a bypass road near the West Bank city of Nablus.

From Jeff:

(In the Subject Heading it said the following) Can you do that trick with our National Debt?

Take something really large and make it really small!

Palestinian witnesses said Amjed el-Masri, 15, was shot in the chest by a sniper as he threw stones at an Israeli armored vehicle from a rooftop in the old city area of Nablus.

Your bias is blatant and you are a disgrace to objective reporting!

You should be ashamed of yourselves!

People are becoming aware of your bias … Congratulations for joining the ranks of CNN, NPR, and the BBC
