Haiti needs long term international help-Annan
NEW YORK, March 16 (Reuters) - The international community and countries such as the United States should remain engaged in Haiti long after United Nations peacekeepers leave, Secretary-general Kofi Annan said in an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.
Annan described the Haitian situation as "even more daunting today than 10 years ago" when, with a U.N. Security council blessing, a multinational force entered the country and restored Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the elected president, to power.
Yes, you heard that right. All of a sudden we are cordially invited to help, oh no not when it comes to oust Islamo Arab racists dictatorships, but when it comes to alleviate the UN's headache.
BTW
When was the last time the bias UN had the 'time' to condemn [in between the "busy" unfair 'other condemnations...'] the real guilty party in the Middle East: "palestinian" savagery on innocent Israelis? Isn't 'palestinian' menace "more daunting today than 10 years ago"? Far worse than in Haiti!
One more thing, Why is your 'opinion' that it is US' job more than the UN's?
I thought UN is the 'international' body.
Thank you very much for internationalizing the US, for once!
But Thanks not for playing with us as your personal toy.
