Interview with the Vampire

You will not doubt about why director Joel Schumacher chose Goldenthal to do the music of Batman Forever after you hear this score (vampire = bat = batman?) Unlike many other composers, Goldenthal uses the sound of low brass in addition to other standard elements(dissonant string notes and choral sounds) to create the chilling effect. This score sounds a little like Williams' "Dracula" too. This is a horror score with the feel of pride, glory and sadness. I think some of the music work even better than the music in "Batman Forever," if they are used in "Batman Forever. The music in BF is an unorganized and overdone version of this one. The flow of this score is much better. Again, an excellent and unusual horror score.
