monthly pic' pick:

December 2001

Who needs a PC when you can run it all on the Mac? Connectix has released Virtual PC 5.0, and it's Carbonized for MacOS X! Now you can run that Windows eXPensive, whenever you must!

November 2001

Say hello to iPod! The slick new device may not be as 'revolutionary' as Jobs put it, but it sure is a beauty to behold. The total integration with iTunes, the 5 Gig capacity, the blazing-fast FireWire connectivity, its pocket-size and ultra-light portability (61.8 mm by 102 by 19.9 mm; 185g) makes it an attractive little companion, even with its pricetag. Oh, it acts as an external hard disk too

October 2001

Striking resemblance - A teletubby poster and Windoze XP default set-up. Same sky, same grassy hills, same unbearably overly colourful and processed-plastic fit-for-a-two-year-old looks... Hmm... makes you wonder, doesn't it? I got these pics from the OS Opinion article.

July 2001

Gotcha! - he he, its a mock-up made by Acorn Creative Graphics Design predicting the look of the rumoured new iMac. It's been called 'unrealistic by (the notorious) MacOS Rumours, in terms of features, but it sure looks real!

June 2001

Apple became the first to go all-flat in their display range! From left; 17 inch (the new one), 22 inch (mega-wide!), and 15 inch. Apple's known to have the best TFT displays on the market (Go Sony for CRT's). Just beautiful.

May 2001

Time to up that market share! 'Tis arguably the company's worst-kept secret; we've all known this would happen.. for months! Apple has opened up its own set of retail stores in America! It attracted a massive crowd in the opening (of the Glendale store). The future of the Mac looks brighter every day :)

"It's kind of like Field of Dreams... We built it and they came"
- Ron Johnson, senior vice president of retailing for Apple

March 2001

Mac OS X is here! Mmmm... yum. Rock-solid, easy to use, and totally lickable! With Darwin (Apple's own Unix variant), Quartz (based on Adobe's PDF), OpenGL and Aqua, its the world's most advanced Operating System to date!

February 2001

Windows XP. ROFL! OK, this is really sick.
They put down Aqua as 'just sexy gadgets' and they do THIS!?
I just can't believe how ugly they managed to make it!

January 2001

PowerBook 'Mercury' G4.
"'the incredibly thin, ultra-light, mega-wide screen, titanium, portable, super computer"
Featuring Style and Power in a thinner-than-VAIO casing ;)
