Xellos Metallium also know as the "Trickster Priest," is a mazuko (or monster as badly translated). He has the ability to phase to the astral plane to teleport around this world, and feeds on the negative emotions us darned humans emit. Xellos first made his name a thousand years before the slayers group came to be in the war of the monsters fall. In said war the Dragons (Ryuuzuko) and the Monsters (Mazuko) clashed when one of the seven pieces of Shabernigdo, the dark lord of this world, was reborn. In this war Xellos wiped out dragon clans with his bare hands (or astral attacks which ever you prefer). |

Xellos first appears in Slayers: Next, working as an underling for Hellmaster Phibrizo. Well, to spoil that plot line a tad Lina ends up killing Hellmaster and Xellos goes back to begin the General/Priest of Zellas Metallium, the Greater Beast (note the last name). Xellos is a crafty, sly, cunning, double crossing, manipulative person that goes to great lengths to see his master's plans through, as well have his own fun on the side. Xellos is the master of secrets and is so deserving of the trademark line of, "Sore wa himitsu desu," which means, "That is a secret." Xellos is normally smiling and has his eyes closed. He opens one when he is messing with the slayers crew, is being slightly serious, or something outrageously funny happens (come on its Slayers there's always something that damn funny). If he ever opens both eyes and loses the smile then you know you are in trouble, this is when he goes into his serious mode and is liable to whip some ass.
Webmasters notes: Xellos is another one of my fav characters. All his secrets and smugness are just some of the things that make him appealing and down right hilarious. What can I say he has a way of getting under your skin.
"Ohh, do you really mean that Findel-san" *Xellos glomps onto unsuspecting Webmaster.*
*Wham!!!* "Not like that you frickin fruitcake!!!" *Findel finishing fuming and goes back to typing.*
"Owch!, that hurt Findel-san, why are you always so mean?," Xellos whines from under the two by four broken over his head.
"Just shut up and get back in your cage," Findel points at a cage in the far corner of the room.
"Findel-san, I know you don't mean that," Xellos gives Findel the big puppy dog eyes and acts like he is going to tear up.
"ARRGH!, Why don't you go bother Zelgadis or someone like that," Findel points towards the other parts of his realm that the slayers gang is stuck in, praying Xellos will leave him be.
"Hmm...,""Not a bad idea Findel-san," Xellos phases out to go bother the stoic chimera.
*Findel runs over with carpentry supplies and lots of boards and bars the door, then chanting a few words raises and anti-magic field in the room* "That should keep him out for a while," *Findel goes back to his computer a starts typing again."
Sorry folks, Xellos tends to do that from time to time (fruitcake!).
