Jordan McKie, interviewed by jonathan brandon | ||||||
So jordan, how long have you been fingerboarding for? Well, since October of 99. I guess that doesn't mean u have been pro for long? Nope, I guess not, but I like fingerboarding anyway, not for sponsors. So when did your first sponsor come along? I guess aound march of 2000,and I LOVE IT!!! It's so cool, getting free fingeroards and stuff. Did you ever stop fingerboarding for any reason, like the fad going away? After every one stopped, I guess I just kept on going, along with jonnyb. So how does it feel to be sponsored? It's really cool, but getting sponsoed isn't everything. So, I guess ever one wants to know, what boards do you ride?Well, the only board that I have that isn't broken, and the only one I ride, the tony hawk full skull,, but I am excpecting a new one soon. Who do you think is the best fingerboarder you know? I would have to say, jonathan brandon. I like his style in street.Do you do anyother "finger sports"?. I fingerbike because I bmx in real life, it's fun and silent to pull out in class. Are you designing any personalised fingerboards for your self? Yes, I have a blank deck that I am trying to personalise, the concave and the kickers.Do you build your own parks, or buy them? Yes, I build pretty much every ramp I have, except a fingerbiking vert ramp that I bought. The rest is all home made, and amazing. I am currently making a HUGE skate park with my friend jon, al street baby.I take it you like street? Damn right. What's your favorite trick? I would deafinately have to say kickflip to boardslide, it is the smoothest trick. What's your best trick? I don't know, it changes every week.Well Jordan, any advice for all those avid fingerboarders out there? NEVER STOP. Even if fingerboarding goes out, don't stop doing it. Later days |
