I write this for the dark at heart
Who like me have always enjoyed a Gothic tale
I find the darkness and the melancholia
sympatico with the life that I have led
I identify with the outlaw,vampire and the witch
I live on the outskirts of society and do not wish
to become part of the moral fabric it entwines us in
I would rather be caught in the eye of a storm
and feel the calm before all Hell breaks loose
Let it spin me out of control till I become a part
of something else which continues on endlessly
Till then I shall only find comfort in the dark of night
Alone with the dark and lonely souls I come across in books
They are my friends these old ones
The Outlaws,the Vampires,the Witches
The Beautiful Ones.
