At Finishing Touch we believe in starting horses out with a soft touch. Each horse that comes to Finishing Touch is evaluated and then has an individual training program created for it based on the horse's current skill level. A log is kept of the horse's progress after each session, and the training program is adapted to suit their learning process.
Problem Solving:
We also take on habitual "problem" horses for retraining. These horses are also evaluated by Finishing Touch, and then have a unique training plan put into place to correct the unwanted behavior.
Retraining:
We also offer retraining for those horses (and riders!) looking for a career change. These horses mostly consist of off the track Thoroughbreds, but also encompasses any breed or retraining situation.
Finishing:
Finishing Touch also offers thier expertise in finishing work in a variety of disciplines. As with all other types of training, the program is tailored to the indiviual horse and the rider's goals.
Prices:
At this time, training is per month only. The price is $475 per month, and includes all board fees, hay, and grain. Owner provides own supplements, farrier, and any veterinary costs.
