1998 Spring Training Ride Series - Race #2

A huge crowd of 70 riders came out on another beautiful Sunday to contest the second race of the Spring Series. Warm (for early spring) temperatures and pleasant sunshine dominated for the whole race. Besides the local talent, we're having quite a few "out-of-towners". The following cities were represented at ACME: [Walla Walla/College Place - Prosser - Yakima - Kirkland - Moses Lake - Selah - Wenatchee]. A great big thankx to all that helped out, including Ron G Hale and Craig Fortner (helped remark the course after someone undid our hard work), Brent Strecker (helped with the raffle at Double Shots Espresso) and everyone else that I can't remember right now.

The Sport Race

I had a fun ride trying to hop over the barriers (and not fall flat on my face). That mudpuddle, though, gets my vote as some of the stinkest mud I've ever run through! I have to confess that I did take a wrong turn on one of the laps but that was my own fault. Hope that everyone had a blast!
