James O'Loghlin is one of Australia's leading comedians. He has been performing live since 1990 all over Australia, including at the Melbourne and Sydney comedy festivals and has been a regular guest on television shows 'Good News Week', 'Hey, Hey lt's Saturday' and 'The Midday Show'. He has made countless other television appearances, and in 1999 hosted his own successful comedy / talk show on the ABC, 'O'Loghlin On Saturday Night'. On radio, James is heard regularly on 2BL and Triple J and he also writes a weekly column for the Sydney Morning Herald, and a monthly one for the Law Society Journal. James was a writer for Andrew Denton at the 1999 Logies, and wrote for 'The Andrew Denton Breakfast Show' on Triple M Sydney for 2 years. ln 1999 James won a Variety Club Award for his comedy and was nominated for a 'Mo' award. He has written and performed 3 acclaimed live shows, 'Lawyer, Lawyer', 'Caught in the A.C.T.' and, with Peter Berner, 'Lonely Guys'. 'Lawyer, Lawyer', about his years as a corporate and criminal lawyer, was selected for broadcast on ABC-TV's 'Smallest Room in the House' series. James also made history, being the first bald guy to be nominated for the Logie in the category of "Best New Talent.." |
