Martin has been a force since first appearing in a "psychedelic wha wha band." *G* While his first outing TRICK OF MEMORY was listenable, it had a washed out "studio" feel. But I listen to it at least twice a week-soo LOL it IS good. certainly not the adrenaline rush I KNOW Martin is capable of. A lot has changed since then-All for the better IMHO. I was able to get hold of newest cd THE MEETING Thanx NICK AT IMAGO. Just had a buster of an evening listening to THE MEETING. first off: "THIS IS MARTIN PLAYING LIKE MARTIN SHOULD!!" -lots of layering giving it solid but no bleed thru no rubs. -variety, attitude, style-very nice. -Maggie's(Reedy)vocals wonderfully different from A SUMMER BAND efforts (also a good choice!) -CD hums with vitality!! my footie dinna stop. -Doane's tub thumping*sigh* *slaps high 5* that run on Tom's-EXQUISITE- goosebumps all around. -Jonathan(Noyce)ever the bottom line-carries the tempo and creates some really original fills based on his really calm-"oohh where did I put my beachies.." way of floating along the bass(WARNING: biased opinion.) -excellent mix of instrumental/vocal -chord resonation mixed beautifully with keyboards. -Martin. AHHH Martin. What does one say about DA BOMB!? I get shivery just thinkin bout that talkin strat. This is Martin's second effort behind the wheel so to speak. I throughly enjoy this album and recommend it to any and all. Music IS life, whot's not to like eh?
