Zaal took the soul of Twinkles from the realm of Shadowmud.  Though god of
the death, he is not god of the dead, so he took the soul to a void.  In
the void the soul sat and pondered life and all that had happened to her.
She thought both the good times and the bad.  For a long time just the
thought of Nitehawke threw her into a rage.  The self-righteous anger
burned hot at the thought of betrayal.  But it has been said that time
heals all things, and I suppose it does if it does not cause more
destruction.  As time passed the anger lapsed into something less until one
day it didn't matter so much.  It still mattered, but it wasn't as
all-possessing as it had been.

Not to long after this realization another god appeared in the void,
looking for a soul to take back to his realm.  This was the god of warriors
in the realm of Midguard and to there he took Twinkles' soul to inhabit one
of his own, to battle again those of Camelot and Hibernia.  Twinkles found
many people there to talk to and learn from.  But there were too many
people to really meet them all and everyone seemed to be busy doing their
own thing, too busy to make friends with a lonely dwarf.  Looking around
her, Twinkles saw so many things different from Caspia, but also some
similarities.  It was these similarities that started evoking memories of
Caspia and her friends there.  This battle against Camelot and the
Hibernians wasn't her fight she truly didn't belong here.  So deep in the
darkest night Twinkles called out to the deities of Shadowmud, begging them
to let her come home.

The night suddenly seemed darker and Twinkles could see nothing at all.
Then there was a flash of lightening and Twinkles found herself in the
familiar square. Since she had destroyed her old body she had been given a
new one.  All her old fighting skills forgotten and she would have to
relearn them.  So she headed for the fighter hall to become a fighter once
more, then to the newbie shop for some equipment. Readily armed and armored
she headed out to the slums to begin improving herself - so that she could
once again prove she was a Guardian - heart and soul.
