Guards

One one end you have a pre-season All-American and the 2001 Sporting News High School Player of the Year. On the other end, you have a pair of guys who are prone to turnovers. The Spartans have the clear edge.

Advantage - Michigan State
Forwards The frontcourt, surprisingly, will be an interesting battle. Gosley's coming out party may very well been against Maryland Eastern Shore, and Williams is always up for a scrap.
Advantage - Even
Center Ballinger may have about 40 pounds on The French Rejection, but stats like that have yet to intimidate Badiane yeat this season.
Advantage - Even
Reserves The Spartan bench is much deeper than CSU's, especially in the frontcourt, where John Rabb and Pete Ritzema proved against Maryland East Shore that they have a long way to go. However, all bets are off with Mo Niakate and Percell Coles on the Viking bench if both get hot..
Advantage - Michigan State
Coaches Tom Izzo has reloaded this season, and early stumbles against Villanova and Oklahoma State won't damper the roll they're on.
Advantage - Michigan State
Final Score Michigan State 65, CSU 55 - The Vikings have a chance to make this one close, but the Spartans are too deep.
