Soul of Eternal Flame
(First draft)
"When a war is about to embark, the fire inside one's soul will spawn.
And a
hero will rise…"
The year is 2079. 14 years after the attack of the meteors
that
almost
destroyed the earth. It's impact, destroyed countries, cities, and
states. A
large comet hit the Atlantic Ocean, which made a wild tidal wave with a
size
of 50 km high completely wiping out Africa and some of Asia. Other
comets
collided in America, which demolished cities and homes. Half of the
population on earth was annihilated and thousands were injured. Japan
was the
only country that was not hit by any of the comets. There was no
logical
reason why. 2 years later, 6 massively large meteors impacted the world
nearly devastating earth. Yet Japan was not hit. The meteors, though,
did not
just contain of rock and ash; there were immense capsules in each of
the 6
comets. What contained inside was fairly unknown, until they opened up
1
month later. Large armies of cyborgs, humanoid-robots, were in every
spacecraft. These gigantic androids were able to create large energy
beams
and destroy houses or even cities by one shot. Mostly all people went
to
hiding or were killed. These droids caused havoc and destruction to
countries
around the globe. People started to wonder and question why the attacks
happened, and why Japan was never harmed. The Cyborgs, calling
themselves
"Dark Phantoms", grew in population quickly, yet nobody knew why.
These
Dark
Phantoms did not have a leader (as the people had believed), but there
were
dark figures in black cloaks with a hood covering its face that was
known to
control these robots. These demonic people always stood behind the
giants
every time they had attacked. The people did not know if they had some
special powers at all.
The beings were known as Phantoms because they seemed
transparent.
There
was also a legend that the Dark Phantoms brought upon the three dragons
of
fire. A doctor was able to find enough information about these unknown
aliens. The three dragons of fire have the power to travel through
time. The
Dragon of blue flame can reach back in time to the past. The Dragon of
Orange
flame is able to reach the future. And the Dragon of Green flame
controls the
power to the present, which gives the ability to stop time. When the
three
dragons align as one, incredible force and enormous power is given to
the
holder of the dragons. These dragons are formed as emblems. The
professor who
found all this information did not represent his name. Many people were
terrified with the doctor's remarks and did not believe him. Yet some
others
did. The professor was said that he died in an experimental accident.
Not
much more information is given about the Dark Phantoms.
But after 1 year following the attack of the Dark Phantoms, they
suddenly
reduced in numbers. After a couple of months, they all completely
disappeared. The cities and communities were abashed, but they knew
Japan had
something to do with it.
In the year 2070, a large company in Japan called "MicroCorps" was
developed..
2 years later, it became the biggest company in the world. By 2074,
hundreds
and thousands of MicroCorps companies were stationed around the world.
This
company created software and high-tech machines, but some people
believed it
was producing weapons and arsenals. Some of the people in states
thought it
would harm economy and society, but there were not enough numbers of
people
to revolt. Soon, the cautious people started to relieve themselves from
believing in dangers from MicroCorps and possibly another attack from
the
Cyborgs.
But there was another problem that started to evade in countries.
Secret,
unknown, magical powers started to arise around different locations on
earth..
It was believed some of the meteors gave off a lucid, electric energy
around
the radius of the impact. This light went inside bodies and changed
their DNA
into a different pattern causing them to have some unusual abilities.
These
powers were extraordinary. The person who ever had this skill had the
ability
to create light energy, lasers, flames, water, or even the ability to
mind
control from parts of their bodies. But some of the powers were evil.
They
were called Dark Shadows. Some of the powers drove the host insane and
went
to the extent to even kill themselves. Some saw things that weren't
even
there, and some saw the future in dark ways. Yet some of these
radiation gave
the carrier incredible strength and became extremely muscular. Many
people
thought this was very dangerous, so they excluded mostly everyone who
had
those capabilities out of the city or state. These mythical powers were
dangerous to the community.
In the year 2078, though, something had gone wrong.
MicroCorps
started to
have attacks from unknown people. With the damage it caused, they
believed it
were professional soldiers. Large explosions started to erupt on random
locations around the globe for strange reasons. The year now is 2079;
and a
new secret war is about to breakout…
Episode 1: The Explosion
Ring! Ring!
Students suddenly hustled there way to start another day in
school
in
Tokyo, Japan. A slender, yet athletic boy starts to come into view. His
long,
wavy hair breezes with the wind. His eyes were covered with his lengthy
hair,
yet he was also looking down at the ground. The teenager looked up into
the
purplish sky with small clouds.
Another day in school, huh? It's gonna be a long day…
"Ahh!" The boy suddenly screamed to himself.
"Ah. The visions. It's
coming back again. Come on Akira, get a hold of yourself. Please, not
now."
Akira Shinamoto, an energetic, yet sensitive boy, breathed heavily on
his
knees. The visions were coming back to him once more. Visions where he
saw a
dark lab, and a water filled chamber was in the middle. He could see a
dark
figure in the mist of the water. Yet the boy could not see the man's
face.
The teenage boy screamed softly once again. There were other visions he
witnessed also. There was fire; a lot of fire burning. He looked at his
right
arm; it was glowing again. There was a symbol on his right forearm that
looked like a backward six and an upside down six connected together.
Akira
knew the visions and dreams had something to do with this. In any case,
he
slowly got up and walked towards the school.
* * *
"Doctor, the boy needs to know about this. It has gone
far too
long. He
is 17 years old, and yet he still does not know about his powers." A
man in
the shadows said softly.
"Do not worry, my dear friend, he will know soon enough.
But we
cannot
just bring the past up to him. The boy has suffered from amnesia for
crying
out loud. He does not know about the impact that struck him in America
or
about Dark Phantoms. The boy will come to a shock if he finds out he is
the
one supposed to stop Dark Phantoms." Another man, yet fairly old, said
calmly.
"Yes, but doesn't he have the sign of the…"
"Yes he does. The symbol on his right arm is there
indeed. But if
he is
as strong as I think he is, he will be able to conquer the nightmare.
In any
case, we must bring him before us somehow." The old man replied.
"Right, I am on my way." The man walked away fading
in the
distance.
The senior man thought slowly, the boy is also very dangerous
to
us. If
he discovers his dark side after reaching his full powers, he will be
able to
destroy the human race. Yet also if he finds out who his true parents
are,
that can be risky. Nevertheless, we are running out of time…
"Hey, Akira! Wait up!" Another teenager the same
age ran up to the
boy
walking sluggishly home.
"Huh? Oh, hey Raymond." Akira looked up, then
suddenly looked down
again..
"I heard you got in trouble again for coming in
late." He gave a
quick
laugh, and then realizing Akira wasn't laughing with him. "Hey man, you
okay?
You look a little pale if you ask me. Don't worry dude, we live in
Tokyo. The
place where all things go right, I think. Well anyway, this place is
always
safe. You ever hear about the meteor impact?"
Akira instantly looked up now into the conversation,
"What impact?"
"You're parents never told you? Well, anyway, the impact
happened I
think
14 years ago. Well a lot of meteors impacted here on earth, except for
Japan,
and they completely destroyed countries and stuff. And see, some of the
comets contained like capsules with large armies of androids in each
one,"
Akira was now completely into the conversation. "Wow, I didn't know you
were
so into this stuff. Well like I said, these robotic guys started
destroying
cities with their laser beams that come from their hands and stuff. It
is
quite dangerous, though. Their leaders, well actually, they didn't
really
have leaders, but they were usually controlled by what is known as
Phantoms.
These Phantoms mind control the robots and stuff. I hear they have a
lot of
power. They wear these long, black cloaks with hoods over their heads.
I was
freaked out when I heard this."
"I also heard that some of these comets released some
kind of
special
energy and gave people unusual powers. Quite freaky. Have you heard of
the
company called MicroCorps?"
"Uh, yeah, I think so. It is that huge business that
makes machines
and
stuff…"
"Well, I think," Raymond quickly interrupted,
" they also make
weapons
and arsenal of gun. I also heard of a rumor that they create the laser
beams
that Dark Phantoms use. In any case, I bet someday…"
Suddenly, the ground started to rumble. Is it an earthquake?
BANG!
A loud explosion abruptly occurred around a large meadow
ahead of
the 2.
More eruptions of explosions came. The rumbling of the surface was so
horrible, that Akira and Raymond fell to the ground in an instant.
"What's going on?" Raymond yelled out.
"I have no idea. But we got to get to shelter."
Akira replied
quickly and
got up trying to keep his balance. Raymond then following. They ran as
fast
and as cautiously as they could to find shelter. Luckily, there was a
large
train station near by that had an enormous roof on top of it. They
dashed
over to it with careful movement, since the explosions were erupting
more
often now. As they got up, the biggest explosion yet transpired, making
the 2
fly a couple of feet and falling hurtfully on the surface of the
station.
Raymond looked up, "Owww, that hurt. Man, when is this
thing ever
gonna
stop…"
Suddenly, a gigantic dark figure arose from the ground. It
had
large
broad shoulders, with dark red eyes. The size was indescribable, yet it
was
fairly 15 feet high and looked very muscular.
"Hey, wait a minute, if I think who I think it is, that
is a…"
But before Raymond could finish, the figure in the mist of
smoke
pointed
both hands and opened them wide. Suddenly, light or some kind of energy
started to release into the giant's hands. Without notice, the figure
pulled
its hands back and then quickly straightened it out in front right at
Raymond. There was a large beam of light slashing through the smoke and
suddenly hit Raymond right through his chest. The beam went right
through his
body. He flew back a couple of yards while blood started to burst out.
Akira stood there, shocked. With swiftness he ran to the
wounded
friend.
"R-Raymond? A-are you alright?" He could see there was no response as
he
looked at Raymond's damage. It was far worse than Akira thought. There
was a
hole right in the middle of his chest, with blood pouring down the
ground.
"N-no. This can't be. NOOOO!" In a split-second, something clicked in
Akira's
head. He felt fire and rage within him. Then suddenly, a white light
started
to surround Akira. Rocks and pebbles flew into the air from the
pressure of
its power. It was some kind of an aura encircling him. He felt vast
power
flowing through him. Akira looked at his opponent with fire in his
eyes.
Without any thought, he dashed at the dark figure as it came
to
view. The
thing in the smoke was an android. But this still did not stop Akira.
While
dashing towards the giant, something went through him spreading
quickly. He
felt immense fire inside him, and could feel something he could never
feel
before. When he got only a few yards away from the robot, he slightly
looked
at his right hand and realized the greatest, yet weirdest thing he had
ever
seen.
Fire.
Fire started to rise in his hand. Akira looked shocked even
more
than the
aura, but he kept running for the android. He winded his hand as he got
closer and closer. Then at the last moment, he extended it out with
full
strength. "AHHHHH!"
Before the robot could make another move, Akira's right hand
went
right
through the metal cyborg. He started to slow down as he passed the bot.
Akira
looked at his hand; the flame was still there. Slowly, the boy turned
around
and looked at the android. It stood there and suddenly, it blew up.
Akira
flew back from the explosion. "Ah!"
Akira just lay there on the hard, rocky ground, which seemed
like
hours.
But he slowly got up and realized his left arm was badly wounded. He
groaned
a little as he finally got onto his feet. Akira looked around the area,
but
there was too much smoke to see anything. Akira then gazed at his right
arm,
which was now not on fire. What was that? How did I defeat that
monster?
I-I…just don't know anymore…
BANG!!
Suddenly, another huge explosion occurred somewhere on his
left.
The
eruption was so strong, that it flew Akira right off his feet again. He
looked up moaning, and all of a sudden saw another dark figure. But
this time
it was a little smaller. It was too foggy too see its face, but he
could see
it was wearing a long robe. A black one. And all of a sudden, he
realized
what it was.
It was a Phantom…
* * *
"Sir, we're under attack. Our main lobby has just been
breached.
One
unidentified soldier annihilated the security and all personnel in it!"
A man
on the computer said.
"Hmmm, I knew there was gonna be an attack here, but
only one
soldier.
Why would they send only one? That is like suicide. And why did he
breach
through the front?" Another man said to himself quietly. He was the
general
of security of that building. The man turned to the officer on the
computer,
"Okay, send all of security to destroy him."
BANG!
A large metal door flew open with great force. Fire and smoke
came
after..
The flames quickly caught onto computers and desks, which quickly
exploded.
As the loud alarm went off, gray smoke started to take over the clean
air.
What stood behind the entrance was a young man, 20 to 30s, but it
wasn't
clear enough to see his face. He was dressed in a ninja form costume.
In his
hands, some kind of solar energy light was produced there. It looked
deadly
and very sharp.
A soft voice started to speak. "Heh, their defense was
weak. This
MicroCorps is just like the others. I will have no time demolishing
it."
Instantly, the same kind of aura Akira had surrounded this unknown
ninja. He
flew in mid-air a couple feet off the ground and dashed through the
room of
computers destroying everything that came in his way. He used his
energy
blade on his fingers to cut right through the doorway ahead of him. As
he
entered the room, the lights were all out. The ninja realized something
was
wrong…
"Freeze!" A voice in the shadows ordered.
With quick reflexes, the ninja jumped to the side, reaching
for
cover.
The men on the other side started to fire their weapons. He gave a
small
grin. Heh, they're actually trying to fight back. Pathetic fools. If
only
they knew what would happen. The gateway to Hell is almost open. I will
not
stand for this! "I will not stand for this!" With great speed, he
jumped up
high and flew with incredible swiftness that the enemies couldn't even
see
him. The ninja once again produced his solar blades and cut through all
of
his opponents. One strike after another, the security dropped like
flies.
Only after a couple of minutes, were they all destroyed. Blood spread
through
the floor like wild fire. "Weak fools. Shouldn't have messed with me.
They
would have no chance." He then looked up at the corner of the room. At
the
top was a camera. "Time to finish this. It will be for your own good.
May
your soul rest in peace." The dark man took out something from his
pocket. It
was a detonator. He clicked it.
BANG!!!!
The entire building blew up into flames crushed to the
ground.
Screams
and cries were heard around the area. Suddenly, a figure was in the
mist of
the smoke. It was the ninja. He was untouched by the explosion. "My
name is
Kotaro Kamikaze. I will destroy MicroCorps; the company that will bring
Hell.."
The Phantom was out of the thick smog. Its face could not be
seen,
since
the hood covered its entire face. Akira stood there with fear. He knew
he
couldn't take on a Phantom. He would obviously be killed. All of his
powers
were used up when he fought the cyborg. Akira knew he had no chance,
but he
stood his position. He was going to fight, if it was the last thing he
did.
The Phantom stopped and stared at Akira. Suddenly, purple
eyes
started to
glow under its hood. Finally, the smoke cleared and it was visible. Its
hands
were in its sleeves so Akira couldn't tell if that thing was human or
not.
Akira started to concentrate to regain his power. "HAAAA!"
The aura
started to form once more and he felt the power flow through his body.
It was
the greatest thing he ever experienced. Now he was strong a second
time.
"AHHHH!" With a strike of lightning, he flew up and dashed right at
the
hooded monster.
Akira could feel the fire in his hand again. As he approached
the
Phantom, he winded his right arm back, getting reading to attack. Right
when
he reached the Phantom, he attacked.
But it didn't work.
There was some kind of force field surrounding the enemy. It
was
just
like Akira's, but only stronger, a lot stronger. He tried once more,
then
again, and again. the punches and kicks did not break through or make
contact
with the Phantom. After numerous striking, Akira finally gave up and
flew
back a few feet. As he breathed hard on his knees, sweat dripped
heavily down
his face. How can I beat him? It's impossible. But I c…can't lose…
Unexpectedly, the Phantom started to walk towards Akira. The
boy
stood up
and walked back a little, being cautious of what the Phantom could do.
After
both of them walked a couple of yards, the Phantom stopped; Akira also
stopped. He wondered what it was going to do. Was it capable of
attacking?
Did it have the ability to make power waves like Akira? The question
was then
answered.
Slowly, the Phantom raised its right arm, suddenly an
invisible
wave was
released from its hand. The wave pushed Akira right off his feet and
flew far
away and hit a building. He crashed right through the walls because the
force
was so strong. Akira, badly wounded, tried to get up, but his damages
were
far worse than he thought. His left arm was broken, his legs were
gushed with
blood and his face hurt more than ever. Akira was finally able to get
on his
feet…
BANG!
An enormous energy beam was fired right at Akira from the
Phantom.
The
explosion completely knocked out Akira. He could barely move now. He
finally
blacked out and fainted…
Akira woke up in a cold room, which looked like a hospital
room. He
tried
if he could get up, but he couldn't. He looked under the sheet that was
on
him to see the wounds. It was disgusting. Cuts and what looked like gun
shot
holes lay on his chest. All of a sudden, he heard 2 voices coming to
the
door. Akira quickly lay down and acted like he was sleeping. The 2
people
stopped at the entrance and Akira leaned a little closer just to hear
the
conversation.
"The boy was lucky. I thought there was no way he could
have
survived
that wave explosion. I was even lucky enough to save him. The Phantom
didn't
see me. If it did, I would have been dead by now. Akira and me." A
man's
voice said softly.
"Do not worry, my friend." An elderly voice said.
"The boy is in
our
hands now and it is up to us to save him. He is our last hope."
"Yes, but you saw the symbol. He can destroy us. He is
too
dangerous for
us to keep him here." The other man said with cautious as if someone
else was
listening.
"Please, Mike, you must understand we must take that
risk. He is
our only
hope left to destroy the Dark Phantoms."
!!
Me? D-destroy the Dark Phantoms. No way. They probably ain't
even
talking
about me.
At once, the elderly man walked into the door and walked
towards
Akira.
He slowly touched Akira's forehead and whispered in his ear, "You are
the
chosen one…"
