Fanfic Submission Guidelines

1) Please try editing your stories before you send them to me. They don't HAVE to be in perfect English (That'll be unfair since not everyone is an English teacher or something). Just make sure that they're not full of obvious mistakes, and that they're fairly easy to read. (Eg. Don't type out the entire story in sentences such as this "An DeN dE pEeNk-HaIrEd GeRl LiUkEd Up An He SaYeD..." Granted, I'm exaggerating, but I'm sure you get the gist of it. ^_^
And in case you type really fast and tend to end up with stories full of typos, I recommend using a spell check. Of course spell checks can't catch everything, but it'll help.

2) You can send it either in a Microsoft Word document, in text format or in the e-mail itself (Unless your stories make use of italics, underlining etc., in which case it would be better to use the previous). Don't use any other word formats in case I won't be able to open them. If you have some HTML experience, I would appreciate it if you could HTMLize it before sending it to me. It makes things easier that way. :)

3) Most importantly, FORMAT the stories. Don't have an entire paragraph squished into one line so that the reader has to keep scrolling back and forth. And put them in proper paragraphs, please. It's very tedious to have to format the story by myself if it has no apparent breaks, since most stories tend to be pretty long and I wouldn't know whether I'm paragraphing them properly. It's not my story, after all.

4) Please e-mail me the following information together with your story: The name you'll like to be referred to, your e-mail address (Of course, I can always check the "Sent by" thingamajig, but...), the main characters of the story, and a description. Since I don't usually have the time to read everyone's fanfics (I know, I'm such a horrible webmistress... -_-), I would appreciate it greatly if you could help me to do that. Of course, if you WANT me to write a description for you, just tell me, and I'll try to do my best.

5) Yaoi or lemons are okay, but I neither read nor enjoy reading them. (I really shouldn't be reading some comedy fanfics at my age... *sweatdrop*) So please state explicitly whether they are yaoi/lemon/lime/shounen ai or whatever. Then I'll mark them clearly for those who don't like reading them either. Plus, you HAVE to have a description for you story. I can't do it for you, since I won't be reading them.

6) Try keeping the characters in-character, unless it's intentional. (Eg. Comedic fanfics, or you have a special reason for him/her to act that way, or even POVs, since you're trying to look deeper into the character and might write about them thinking differently from the way they normally do on the surface) It's hard to write characters which have the exact same personalities in the anime/manga down to even the smallest of habits, but just make sure that they're roughly the same. Like Fuuko shouldn't turn into some air-headed girl who's really shy or timid, or Domon into a weakling who's IQ is the only thing good about him.

7) It doesn't necessarily have to be only FoR. It can be an original story, or a Final Fantasy story, or from another anime etc. That's what my "Other unrelated fanfiction" section is for, after all. ^_^

8) Lastly, don't feel shy about submitting your fanfiction! If you feel insecure about it, don't worry. I'm sure it's much better than you really think it is. (Bit rich coming from someone like me... oh well. :p

Done reading? Now go ahead and e-mail me with your fanfics! :)
