Translations of "Freetalks"
The translations here are taken from the inside flaps of the manga covers. Since my chinese is not very good (Heck, it's even worse than average! t_t), lots of translations might be wrong. Also, the translations might sound weird, since I'm not good at converting Chinese sentences into grammatically correct English ones, as the structures are so very different.) If anyone could help me correct mistakes of rephrase sentences so that they sound better, by all means, e-mail me. It would be greatly appreciated.

People's faces always change, that's a bad habit! It's opposite from last week, when Flame of Recca first came out, it keeps changing. Now when I look back at it, it was a very bad thing. To be truthful, Yanagi is not in the least bit cute. Therefore, i have to redraw 90% of it! Hopefully the readers will take this into consideration.

Volume Two
There's nothing I like better than receiving letters from readers! Sometimes they encourage me, sometimes they (???)... there's also some people who send me Recca bookmarks they've made themselves, Fuuko [keychains], their own illustrations etc, it makes me so happy I want to cry! I think I must keep it up... You (the readers) are all the source of my spirit*, thank you all for supporting me!
*That sentence just seems... wrong. :p Basically, he's just saying that the readers are what keeps him going on.
Volume 3 - (has the basic stats already written above)
I love playing electronic games. Because I'm originally a person who likes to run away from reality, so it's very easy to live in this world. Protecting the earth, taking off clothes, whatever I like to do I will do. But, lately I haven't been doing anything...... why haven't I? Because now the most important thing is dreaming about how to runaway from reality!

It seems as if a lot of readers know I'm very perverted. For this year's Valentine's Day I actually received chocolates in the shape of naked women, and a reader even (??? {I think the reader went some place for a holiday}) and gave me a [pack of poker cards] with pictures of naked women on them.

The thing which makes me feel happy, is not that we've finally started making the anime, but because all those who are in charge of the animating are working so hard to make it good. it really makes me feel so grateful. There's also all the readers' support. This also makes me feel very grateful.
Once, when I went to a bookshop, I found a book called "Flame of Recca Secrets", and it really startled me to death! After I bought it and looked through it, I found out that it was really very interesting. It seemed that my drawings were looked at very carefully, the [analysis was very refined {???} and it had great depth]. It really is great. All I have to say in answer to the author's intention is that I'm really happy. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I've just recently come across the internet, but because my computer had some problems, I had to use a [Notebook {I think he means the type of laptop computer}] to go online. Of course, the ones I visit more often are the Flame of Recca websites. I also leave notes on messageboards to my assistants!
Volume 15
Id we're looking from this author's viewpoint, this manga's alternating main characters are Recca, Yanagi and Kurei. But to me, Kurei's esixtance has a special significance. Maybe everyone doesn't understand Kurei's real inner thoughts. The book portrays it as if he's shouting out his desires, while actually also having some hidden secrets. Just like a riddle. {This was HELL to try to convert into nice readable English sentences! AND it still sounds horrible... Help, anyone?}
Lately my feelings have all been in a jumble. Seeing so many people around me who have so much talent and yet get corrupted out of their own will, it makes my satisfaction disappear, and also makes me feel like I don't want to be a mangaka anymore! {For those of you who don't know, mangaka is the Japanese term for a manga author/authoress} But, I will still continue to work hard. This kind of person like me, still has so many people urging me on, giving me support, it really makes me very happy. And I'm not saying this with just my mouth. I will definitely draw even better, definitely!
Year 1999 is over and we've entered year 2000. When I was a student, I used to think "When it's the year 2000 I'll be 27 years old. I really have no way of imagining that" But even if people don't wish it, we will still grow old. In the year 2222 I'll be 249 years old already. I really have no way of imagining that.

After reading this volume, if you have the time, I hope you'll read the entire series all over again, starting from volume one. You'll definitely get a different impression.
The 20th cenury is over, we've already entered the 21st century. When I was still a student I always thought "Once I enter the 21st century, I'll already be 28 years old. That's really hard to believe". Even though humans may not like it, we still grow old, right? After the 22nd century, I' already be 128 yesrs old!? It's really hard to believe, just like volume 22.
