Kurei ordered Kaoru and Mokuren to kidnap him since he was knew too much
about the Hokage. He knows about Recca's predicament and allowed Team
Hokage to skip school to enter the Dark Martial Combat. (Manga only, I
think) He also enjoys beating Recca at Playstation games. (I think
practically everyone can beat Recca. ^_^)

surprised to see that she was pretty. (Surprised that Tatesako managed to
marry her, that is) She became friends with Yanagi and was injured by
Mokuren during the kidnapping. |

Tsukino

| Kurei's foster mother in the manga. She found Kurei wandering around in the streets and took him in as her own son. Once Mori discovered Kurei's powers of flame, he had Tsukino implanted with a bomb and held her hostage, threatening to kill her if Kurei did not obey him. Kurei visited her every now and then, and it seems that Mori tried to kill her (manga 16) after Kurei lost to Recca, but Raiha, who had left earlier, reached her in time and diffused the bomb with his Raijin. Later on, Kurei visits her again just before he goes off to SODOM to destroy Mori Kouran. (It happens in the second season, but it's not really a spoiler) |

Zhenye

| She was a transfer student to Fuuko's school
and became her first true friend during the days when she mistrusted
everyone and was feared in school. Everyone told Zhenye to stay away from
Fuuko, but after she fell down during baseball and Fuuko bandaged her knee
with her headband and carried her back to school, she realised Fuuko's
real, gentle nature and became friends with her. Soon after, she had to
leave Fuuko's school for surgery, since she had cancer. She made Fuuko a
new headband, (She kept the old one as a memento of their friendship)
which is the one Fuuko now wears all the time. |

| He was Recca's true father from the past and had two wives, Reina (first) and Kagerou (second). (I'm not sure, but I think actually Kagerou was his FIRST wife, not Reina. At least that's what I think it says in Volume 24, since my Chinese is so bad. ^_^) He was also a flame caster, the last leader of the Hokage Ninjas, (Not counting Kurei or Recca) and died during a war with the Japanese emperor, who wanted to extinguish the Hokages as their intelligence was feared, and to steal some of their psychic devices. He decided to hide away all the devices, since he knew that the emperor would manage to steal a few, then come back to take away some more, and as a result, the Hokages died an honourable death protecting the devices from the hands of a tyrant. Since he died unable to protect the ones he loved, he was doomed to 'live' forever as a flame dragon; Resshin, leader of Recca's dragons. |

| Although the Anime has Reina's basic personality down, they've made her out to be some horrible witch. It's true that she has a rather rough personality, but she's got her good points, which the anime ceased to emaphasise. Since they two versions are quite different, I'll put down Anime Reina's personality first, then Manga Reina.
Anime: Reina is Kurei's mother and Ohka's first wife. She was jealous of Kagerou and always boasted about how Kurei would become the next flame caster. After Recca was discovered to have the power of flame, however, she and Kurei were banished to the outskirts of town as outcasts. Reina died of cancer before the war in the anime.
Manga: However, manga Reina is not as cruel as she is in the anime. Her best quality is her strong devotion to her own child, Kurei, as well as to Ohka. In fact, unlike the anime, Reina was the one who rescued Kurei from his prison cell when it was about to collapse on him. (A roof beam was about to fall on him, but Reina protected him with her own body) She and Kurei tried to run away, but she was hurt very badly and could not continue. Not wanting to be a burden to Kurei, she forced him to leave her to run to safety, giving him a knife engraved with the Hokage emblem as a last reminder of her. |
