Warrior Team Kuu

Picture not available

Kuukai

Age: I'm not too sure. He's old enough to be a father, so I guess around 30-50
Gender: Male
Psychic devices: The Demon (Not to be confused with the Demon Claw)
Element: Demons? (Urgh. I don't really think this is an element, do you?)

Most of the time, Kuukai is a very calm, easy-going person, except when his psychic device is activated. He is the leader of team Kuu, and is great friends with the Hokage team. After his team's defeat, he and the rest of Kuu stayed back to watch the fight between Recca and the other teams. In the manga, he and his team mates are always seen hanging around the Hokage hotel room joking around and just basically having fun. (Do you notice that almost ALL Hokage's opponents do that? There's Gashakura, Kashamaru, Tsukishiroi and Menou, just to name a few.) He seems to treat Saicho just like a son, and hopes that he (Saicho) and Misora will be married very soon. ^_^ He was also the one to get guilt-ridden Kaoru out of his despair over Saicho's coma.

Kuukai has been in jail before, because a secret society kidnapped Misora and was holding her hostage, with the intention of threatening to kill her if Kuukai did not agree to become their asassins. Kuukai refused, asking them to release Misora, and the leader, enraged, began to hit him. After the third hit, however, Kuukai's psychic Device, Demon, was activated, and he could not restrain himself from attacking the man. That day, the entire group of man who had kidnapped Misora was arrested, and Kuukai was arrested for their murder. (Maybe he was released later on due to the fact that it was an act of self-defense, since the penalty for murder could be life imprisonment or death or something equally serious.)

Picture not available Saicho

Age: 14-15
Gender: Male
Grade: Um, is it Junior High School which comes before High School in Japan?
Psychic devices: Paper Animator
Element: Paper

Saicho is a very gentle person, and although he is a member of Team Kuu, is reluctant to kill anybody unnecessarily. To quote Misora "Saicho, you're not even willing to hurt a fly!" Due to a stab wound he received earlier, he can only fight for 10 minutes. (15 in the manga) When Kuukai was in jail, several Kuu students made use of the Kuu techniques to become asassins for hire. Saicho entered the dojo one day to find that the corrupted students killed the rest of the students because they refused to join them. When Saicho is given a choice to join them or to die, he refuses and attacks them. However, during battle, Misora, worried for Saicho's safety, claled out his name in alarmed and, distracted, Saicho was stabbed by one of the students, resulting in his wound - A deep wound yet not fatal enough to kill. After this incident, rumours began to spread about his feat until he was soon known (Albeit incorrectly) as the boy who killed 1,000 men.

In the manga, he and Kaoru Koganei became best friends. When he was injured by Joker, he gave Kaoru a paper crane, wishing him good luck before going into a coma. When he regained consciousness, he immediately went to see Kaoru's fight, and this gave Kaoru the strength to continue fighting.

His record for making paper cranes is 2 seconds! He likes Misora, and some say they are engaged. (I wouldn't know) It was she who gave him the thousand paper cranes, as a good luck gift before he went off to the Dark Martial Combat.

Picture not available Fujimaru

Age: Unknown (Probably 20 something)
Gender: Male
Psychic devices: He uses two scythes and a claw glove, but I don't think that they're psychic devices.
Element: Hentai-ness! (Just kidding, but it's quite true, wouldn't you say?)

This guy is a disgusting pervert! During his fight against Fuuko, he announced very loudly to the audience about his intention to strip her. He even asked her for her breast size! I mean, what kind of sicko is this?

When it seemed as though Fuuko had beaten him, Fujimaru began to cry and asked for forgiveness, even going so far as to call her beautiful. (This happened only in the anime, I think. The beautiful part, I mean) When Fuuko turned her back and him and was about to go, he attacked her from behind, slashing her clothes of. Enraged, Fuuko then revealed her new secret weapon: the combination pyschic device Claw of Wind. When this proved useless, she used the Flying Claw of Wind, to no avail. Fujimaru managed to evade every single one of them. Also, the earlier injuries inflicted on her had taken its toll, and she was nearly defeated. In the anime, he began to slice her clothes away bit by bit, until he was finally impaled by the Flying Claw of Wind. (She had used the Fuujin to manipulate to wind currents and this helped the Claw of Wind to "fly") In the manga, Fujimaru asked Fuuko to take of her bra or her would kill her, and for a moment Fuuko seemed to be doing what he wanted. However, to his surprise, the Flying Claw of Wind came back and plunged itself into his back! It seemed that when Fuuko had put her hands behind her back to pretend to unhook her bra, she had actually motioned the Flying Claw of Wind forward, again through the use of the wind currents. As a result, Fuuko won the battle.

Fujimaru not only is a disgusting pervert and a disgrace to Team Kuu, his motto is "I shall do whatever it takes to win! Even if it means killing old people and children!". He is also the founder of the Fuuko fanclub. (Is this anime only? Can't remember...) You certainly must admit he has some gall; calling Fuuko ugly, then becoming the founder of her fanclub. *Makes a face*

But I must (grudgingly) admit that he seemed much nicer towards the end of season one, being worried (in his own 'macho' way) about Saicho's health after he (Saicho) had just emerged from his coma.

Picture not available Minamio

Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Psychic devices: The Elasticizer
Element: Elastic/ Rubber

Minamio's device is the elasticizer, and thus his body has the exact same properties as elastic. At first, Minamio seemed to be gaining the upper hand in his fight with Domon, since he was able to catch Domon off guard each time with his punches as he was able to extend his arms. Domon's punches also had no impact because his body was able to bend backwards in the places he was hit. However, when Domon realised that Minamio was in fact suing a psychic device, he decided to use his own too. (He hadn't used it earlier because he probably thought it was too shameful to defeat a man with no psychic device by using one himself.) Using the Beak King, Domon managed to tie up Minamio. This made his body stiffen up, and thus Domon was able to punch him, sealing his fate and winning the fight. However, it was declared a draw since Domon fainted at the same time as did Minamio. (I'm not sure, but I think he was over the time limit in the anime. This doesn't make sense, though, since why should the battle have a time limit? Maybe what Tokiya meant when "It was too late when he brought it the Beak King" was that he had sustained so much damage that he couldn't remain conscious.)
Picture not available Daikokuu

Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Psychic devices: A rotating stick (No name given)
Element: Sticks?

Daikokuu seems like a genuinely nice guy, and has a fondness for sake. Minamio too, actually. (At least I think so; he was drinking something out of a bottle when they were visiting Team Hokage in their room, and he seemed drunk. ^_^ There was also a picture of the entire Kuu team relaxing, and those two were drinking) He was worried for Recca's safety during his fight with Kuukai, pleading with him to withdraw etc.

In his fight with Tokiya, Daikokuu showed off his skills by breaking the floor into pieces, then using his stick to break them further down into powder. Tokiya soon figured out the way to defeat him - by placing his stick exactly in the centre of the stick, he managed to stop it from rotating - and shattered his stick by freezing it with his ice sword. (I'm sorry, but I don't really have much to say for this fight. It was pretty short)

Picture not available Misora

Age: 14-15
Gender: Female
Grade: Ditto for Saicho's school
Parents: Kuukai, Mother (Most probably deceased)
Psychic devices: None, she doesn't fight.
Element: None, she doesn't fight.

Misora is Saicho's girlfriend, so to speak, and I've read somewhere that they're engaged, so that would probably make her his fiancée. (I'm not sure if this is correct, though) She bears an amazing resemblance to Fuuko, with an almost exact replica of Fuuko's hairstyle (She has black hair, though), right down to the headband. Although her handband doesn't have the dot in the middle that Fuuko's has.

Misora seems to be a rather quiet, polite girl, although she has quite a temper, as is shown when she gets tired of patching up Saicho's wounds. ^_^ She seems to be very devoted to Saicho (More in the manga), as she can be seen looking at Saicho's picture, and hoping that he'll come back safe and sound. Before Saicho was put into a coma by Joker, the glass on Saicho's picture frame cracked, and Misora said, "Oh dear, this must be a bad omen..." She is also the one who gave Saicho the thousand paper cranes for good luck, but which he unfortunately had to use in his attack.
