Tiny jumped up, took Mark’s hand and led him through the crowds. Giggling like two little kids, they snuck into the kitchen, running through the confused staff, searching for the back door. As both stepped out into the cold night, they panted and leaned against a wall. “Geez . .” Tiny giggled. “The last time I had so much fun was when I was 9 . . .” Mark smirked. “Same here.” “You don’t think what we did was just a little bit childish?” Tiny looked at Mark with little devils dancing around in her eyes. “Let me think for a second.” Mark wrinkled his forehead as Tiny did before and she burst into laughter. “No, not at all,” he finished. Tiny stopped laughing as she realized the closeness of his body and breathed heavily. As their lips met, it was like a rush. Demandingly he pulled her closer and looked into her eyes. “Don’t you think they’re gonna miss us?” Tiny sighed and pulled him close again, whispering into his ear “Who cares?” Dee looked impatiently at her watch, just as she had done one hour ago. She sighed, annoyed, and grabbed a glass from a waiter who went by her table and poured it down her throat. Scott grinned and nodded his head. “Don’t you think you’ve had enough?” Dee grabbed another glass with an surely high concentrated content and said in touchy voice. “I don’t think so.” Scott looked as if he’d explode every moment. Exasperated, he sighed. “Fine!!” Dee rolled her eyes. ”Fine too!” Both looked at each other and began to laugh. Scott pulled her close and planted a kiss on her neck. Deianeira shivered and sighed. “Caitlin is safe at your mom’s house, Tiny and Mark both disappeared- don’t u think we should grab the next cab, straight to our hotel room?” Scott whispered into Dee’s ear. ”Oh I love it when your mind’s in the gutter.” Dee chuckled . “But wait a minute.” Deianeira’s face turned into a puzzled expression. “Where the hell are they?” Languishing, Tiny pulled on his tight shirt, trying to get him closer to her. Mark’s fingers went through her hair, setting her body on fire. Demandingly, she tugged his clothes off and pressed herself against his hard body. There was no time left for thinking, the only thing that counted was the desire, which both felt and wanted to satisfy. Afterwards, Tiny fell into a restless sleep. She felt Mark’s arms wrapped around her body and knew that it was right. She had never felt so safe and protected before. She watched the lines of his face in the moonlight, gently touching them. But was she really able to love someone? – sighing, she pushed the thought aside, closed her eyes again and drifted away, feeling that she finally found what she was looking for. “Scott, dammit, the alarm’s killing me!” Dee whined into her pillow. Scott opened up his eyes and took a short look at his watch. “Not that it would be anything new, but we’re gonna be late.“ Deianeira threw her pillow against the annoying alarm clock. “Know what Scott?” Scott lifted his head and looked into her swollen eyes. “I’ve spent my whole life always being too late and I just can’t see why I should change that. The Empress has spoken.“ Sighing, she closed her eyes again. “And I just can’t see why I should always suffer under your reign. Move your butt out of the bed. We’re going to meet your little sister for breakfast – the Emperor has spoken.” “I hate it when you abuse your power,” said Dee in a tearful voice and dragged her butt out of the bed. “Don’t you think we should tell them?” Tiny looked terrified at Mark “NO! I mean, I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Tiny took a deep breath and calmed herself down. Mark, sitting on the couch, watched her thoughtfully. ”I just can’t suppress the feeling that there is something wrong, Christine.” “Jesus, don’t call me that. It reminds me of my Mom.” Annoyed, she searched for her cigarettes. “Okay that’s enough!” Mark jumped up and forced her to look in his eyes “What is wrong?” Tiny gazed at him and whispered, “I’m not sure anymore.” “What?” Tears filled her eyes. “I… I don’t know. it’s just so strange.“ “Strange is only in your mind. I thought that you felt the same way I do.” “I do Mark, I do!” “Then tell what changed!” Mark lost control over his feelings, now yelling at her. “Or tell me, was that a normal thing for you to do? Sleep with a guy, giving him the feeling he’s the only one? Is that normal for you?" Tiny couldn’t help but cry, unable to speak. “I see,” Mark said slowly. “Excuse me. I think the next guy in line is waiting for your attention.“ Furiously, he grabbed his jacket and rushed out of the room. Tiny slowly sunk to the ground, feeling her heart break. ”How could I tell you that I’m just afraid because this is the first time I really started to love someone?” Desperately she forced herself to smile, stood up and looked into the mirror. “And don’t forget Tiny,” she said to herself, “the show must go on.” “A good morning to you too, Mark,” said Dee, watching her friend disgruntled taking a chair. “Promise me something, man.” Scott said, glancing up at Mark, his eyebrow rising. “Don’t look at the milk. It could go sour.” Scott and Dee couldn’t help but laugh. “Would you please excuse me?” Surprised Dee and Scott watched Mark putting on his sun glasses, walking through the tables heading to the door. “Geez. Now I’m sorry that I was making fun of him, but he was just so…” “…depressed?” Dee completed his sentence. “Something happened, Scott.” He rolled his eyes. “I can tell that.” “Oh c’mon Scott. I know that there’s something wrong! Where’s Tiny again ?” |
