From the Pastor's Pen

Dear Church Family:

Somewhere along the line I saw a church banner that displayed this caption: "The sign of God is that we are led where we did not intend to go."  I have thought about that statement for some time now.

God has led my wife and I to a point where we feel we have completed our work here in the wonderful ministry of First Baptist, Vineland.  We are going to miss each and every one of you.  Make no mistake about it - each one has made an imprint on us and we will carry it with us as we leave. 

I just want to take this opportunity to thank each one for their support of the ministry.  I would also like to ask you to give the Lord praise for all that He has done during the past seven years of ministry.  He has worked through each on e of you to accomplish wonderful things for time and eternity.  I would also want to encourage each one to continue to keep the faith as you give your full support to the ongoing ministry and the individual who will come alongside to help move this ministry to its next level.

We would have liked to have had the opportunity to say goodbye to each one personally, but the calendar did not permit it to come about.  Many thanks for the wonderful farewell party held on our behalf on Friday, December 15th.  It was a great evening for us from the time I found the note at my place until the end of the evening and everything in-between.

My wife and I look forward to hearing about the work of the Lord here at First Baptist, Vineland, and we will keep in touch as time goes on.

May the Good Lord bless you and keep you until we meet again in that Name above every name - even Jesus Christ.  AMEN.
