GENERAL ORDER NO. 01-05 Officers, NCO's, and Enlisted Men of A.P. Hill's Corps.: Effective this date all Battalion and Brigade Officers and Staff wishing to resign their commission and position within FCL, A.P. Hill's Corps. shall do so in writing submitted to their immediate Commander with a copy to the Brigade Commander. E-mail will not be an acceptable form of submission. Upon receipt, the written resignation shall be effective and the person submitting the resignation shall not be allowed to serve as an Officer or on Staff with any Brigade or Battalion within FCL, A.P. Hill's Corps. for one year from the date of the resignation. This Order does not apply to Company Officers. Effective this date any Battalion or Brigade Officer or Staff member desirous of a Leave of Absence shall submit a request therefor in writing to their immediate Commander with a copy to the Brigade Commander. The written request shall state the reasons for the requested leave of absence, the start date, and the expected date for the return to service. So doing will allow the Commanders to brevet someone to fill any vacancies and the brevet officer will know the length of time to which he will be acting in that capacity. Leaves of absence shall be granted freely. Effective this date, when the number of participants and the nature of the event dictate that FCL, A.P. Hill's Corps. shall act as a company unit, The Brigade Commander shall function as the Company Commander with the rank of Captain. All other Brigade and Battalion Officers and Staff shall fall in as privates except as may be ordered by the Brigade Commander.
