Wizard's Second Rule: The greatest harm can result from the best intentions.
I.E. You are walking along and see a woman being jumped in an alley. You run over and try to save her but they are too strong and you both get killed. If you would have called the police and given in the descriptions of the guys you could have gotten the people and not died instead of dying vallantly but stupidly.
That's what makes this so hard to follow you never know when you are violating it and when you are doing good. The time when you figure it out is likely too late...
