The Project:
The goal of this genealogy project is to help further research and to bring
closer all the 'cousins' researching the ancestry and descendants of
Eliphaz Fish, Jehoida Millard Joseph Springer and Edward Stevens.
The Coast to Coast project began with a chance query into the Calhoun County,
Michigan forums in search of the family of one Silas Fish. I was
very fortunate to meet some wonderful people also researching the same family
lines. As we chipped away at the brick walls that surrounded these
early pioneer families, the persistence has paid off with unexpected discoveries
into a number of families, who migrated from the east coast to the west coast.
This site will attempt to chronicle the families, the individuals
and the history as it is uncovered.
From the New York counties, Saratoga and Steuben, to the Michigan townships, Leroy and
Bedford (in Calhoun County), Iowa counties and onward to Los Angeles, California,
the descendants of Eliphaz Fish, Jehoida Millard, Joseph Springer and Edward Stevens
have had a long journey.
As with all genealogy projects, this one is far from complete and will continue to grow.
