Here are some updated New Jersey fishing locations collected from last years reports Thanks for the great reports Mullica River, New Jersey When they are running, Striped Bass can be caught around the GreenBank Bridge. Also Pickerel, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, and White perch can be caught around where the Batsto River and the Mullica join. Oswego Lake and Harrisville Lake, NJ Pickerel is the most common fish in both of these lakes Try using small and medium spinners fished along the reeds. Gold and Silver colors worked when we fished these lakes. Cooper River This river is getting better every year a lot of effort has gone into cleaning it up. Carp, Bass, Sunnies, and Catfish can all be caught here. Try fishing by the Kings Highway Dam near Haddonfield. The person who supplied this report said that bright Senkos work well along the water edges. Yellow/orange crankbaits also work.. Others caught Crappie further down the river on white Mister Twister grubs and Largemouths on medium sized Gitzits cast 10-15ft from shore. Audubon Lake 6" Lime and Watermellon worms riged weightless produced several Largemouths Newton Lake Another NJ waterway that is cleaner today than it was 30 years ago.Try fishing by the bridge at Route 30. (Don't Fish off the Bridge). This Lake has Carp, Bass, Sunnies, and Catfish. One reporter likes to fish Newton Lake from a boat and says to try black and blue Senkos or black and blue jigs with a crawdad trailer. Another fisherman has luck catching Largemouth on bright colored crankbaits. Also Perch on minnows and worms. One more likes Perch colored Rapalas fished slow for Largemouth Delaware River canal near Washington's Crossing A fisherman reports, Smallmouths Bluegills and Channel cats were caught.
