"What do you think it does?"
"It doesn't do anything. Apart from look weird, and Jonathon does that by himself."

Andrew didn't respond. Usually grateful for the silence, there was something in the younger boy's face that disturbed Warren.
Then Andrew proclaimed, "Maybe it sings!" His eyes shone with possibility.

This wasn't going to be good. Warren tried to dissuade him, to no avail. Finally the appeals to his scientific curiosity worked.

Well, that and the puppy-dog eyes.

They were all set to experiment when Jonathon returned to yell, "Stop playing with my magic bone!"

That would never stop being funny.
