"Inaugural Lake Simcoe Winter Wind Sports Festival" - Georgina, Ontario

  • Wind Riders please check in with Grant Fitz or one of the organizers when you get there

  • Local information at Lake Simcoe: Bring your FRS Radio to the event. When you get to the lake, if you have any questions or need assistance, use channel 4 on your FRS Radio. The event organizers will be monitoring this channel to support you for the day.
  • There's a get together at the Blue Moose 905.722.4447 at 5 PM Saturday only. It's about one mile from the event location. If you mention you were at the festival and say "Meet me at the Moose", you can get 5% off your bill. The address is 20865 Dalton Road at the intersection of Dalton and High Street in the TD Plaza. It is a bar, so the age of majority is required. They do have a non-smoking section.

Where (about 1 hour drive north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in Sutton on the south shore of Lake Simcoe)
  • De La Salle Park, Lake Simcoe map
    • From 401, take 404 North to the end.
    • Take the Rural Route 19/GREEN LANE exit- exit number 53.
    • Turn RIGHT onto GREEN LANE E/REGIONAL ROUTE 19.
    • Turn LEFT onto WOODBINE AVE/REGIONAL ROUTE 8.
    • After passing through Keswick, follow Woodbine to the RIGHT and it becomes 8A Baseline Road Sutton.
    • Turn LEFT onto Kennedy Road.
    • Follow Kennedy Road past Metro Road until you get to the lake.
    • Kennedy ends at the lake at Lake Drive East.
    • Turn RIGHT onto Lake Drive East.
    • Follow it around the lake until you get to De La Salle Park.
    • Please park in the parking lot in the De La Salle Chapel Community Centre.
    • Look for the windsock on the lake.
