Resumé
Workshop Lots of great information was presented at the resumé workshop on February 18th. Career & Student Employment Services, located on the first floor of Ellsworth Hall, discussed its services to students and outlined helpful information on resumé building. Those of you not in attendance will find visiting WMU's Career & Student Employment Services webpage beneficial. Career & Student Employment Services offers individual career advising appointments, giving you the opportunity to discuss job searching and internships and to explore the different career options in your field of study. They also critique resumés and cover letters. For an appointment, call 616-387-2745. Resumé tips of the day: --tailor objectives to fit the job and/or company specifically --use action verbs and positive modifiers; also, try to avoid long, complete sentences that are difficult to scan. --don't include info that isn't relevant.
