We should have called him Hollywood Hot Shot! This horse has an attitude and he makes no effort to cover it up. He knows he's good. When you put on his work tack and head him out into the arena he gets excited . He loves to work patterns and has a head for cattle. I think he'd die if he ever got laid up and couldn't ride for a while. And watching him ride... it's so wonderful. He puts everything he's got into his rides and it really shows. His gaits are awesome and he passes that on to his progeny (links are below). "Hugs" Also passes on his color quite often. He's only had one non-dilute foal! That's 1 in 9 foals. Very awesome.

Another Great thing about Hugs is how outstanding he is. When this horse performs he PERFORMS. People always stop and stare at him; his amazing gold coat and sheer force of personality make people smile and reminisce about their favorite horses.

Hugs will never be sold. I've had many offers on this horse, but I couldn't sell him. He's quite possibly my favorite horse in existence. He's fun to be around, fun to watch, and more importantly he stamps his foals with his attriutes.

Sire Line

For those of you who DON'T know Shining Spark let me lift the rock you've been hiding under! Shining Spark is one of the all time great western horses. He's a 1989 Palomino Quarter Horse. His accomplishments range from Reserve Superhorse Sire to the NRCHA's youngest Million Dollar Sire. Diamond's Sparkle- Shining Spark's Dam- was the 1979 Super Horse (seeing a pattern here?). She is the AQHA LEADING producer of Champions. Quite an accomplishment for this 1974 Palomino Mare. Genuine Doc- Shininng Spark's Sire is an Equi-Stat All-Time Leading Cutting and Reining Sire. This 1977 sorrel may be small (14.3 hands), but he's had a HUGE impact on the world of western riding. Genuine Doc is the Equi-Stat NRCHA #4 Leading "Sire of Sires" a title that is well coveted by many of the top breeders. Genuine Doc's offspring make him very, very well known. He's a multiple AQHA world Champion Sire and multiple world champion broodmare sire.

Dam Line

Hollywood's Blonde Babe, a 1986 Palomino Mare, was a great performer in the reining arena. She can thank her sire and sire's sire for her innate ability to stop, spin and slide. Hollywood Dun It is the ALL TIME LEADING REINING SIRE. He's a 1988 Buckskin Stallion with a love of performance. His sire record ALONE includes: AQHA and NRHA Champions, Sired Earning of OVER $3.5 Million, and he's a hall of fame inductee. Hollywood Jac 86, Hollywood Dun It's sire is also a well known reining sire and grandsire. He was the FIRST NRHA Million Dollar Sire. Hollywood Jac 86, who passed on in 1991 is STILL the Equistat #4 Reining Sire! Hollywood's Blone Babe also had points in the halter arena (with her coloring and killer conformation.. who could pass her up!). Blondy's Dude her maternal grandsire a sorrel stallion is a recent inductee into the AQHA hall of fame. He was well known for his performance horses that could halter in the morning and ride all afternoon.
