Deus Ex Machina: a Necrology
[..."Deus ex Machina is a new animation project, that I'm working on
It derived from my ambition to write a book and a holiday I went on...
The idea is to make a book-like animation film
Not in the sense of the physical (book-like) representation
But like in a storybook, each story follows the next, chapterized and with a short "introduction" for example like quotations
I want to make about four short stories which come together in the end
with a grand Epilogue.
The first story I'm doing now is about something which I saw while on
vacation.
I went to Thailand, to a place called Pattya (which is known for it's
"busy nightlife", it's sex-tourism.
So I went to the supermarket (there) and saw an accurate symbol/allegoration
of Pattya, in the supermarket there were racks full of puppets.
What was so symbolic, is that all those puppets had dresses on
and all those dresses were pulled up!
I mean the parallel between those "dirty" puppets and the local whores
was one quick to be seen (both on sale for anyone).
This idea struck me; Those whores were on the racks on sale, for a special
discount nonetheless!"...]
