Althorpe Run 19th September
1999
The weatherman predicted a 'wet one' and he wasn't joking.
Undaunted the 'brave few' flew in the face of the elements. The odd
mudpatch, rabbit and flattened hedgehog added to the fun, providing
interesting 'moments' for a number of the party. A brief stop for
refreshments then a splendid 'Part 2', where the roads had dried
considerably to allow a little more pace.
Don't forget the last run of the year. Sunday 3rd October, the
'Battle 1066 Run'. Meeting point is the FINA Little Chef, junction of
A22/A267 north of Eastbourne, Sussex. 10.30am meet, for a 11.30am
start.
