"The Venerable R&A"

I took this photograph just after departing my hotel (Rusacks). For those who have never been to The Old Course at St. Andrews, there is a road called Granny Clark's Wynd that crosses the 1st and 18th fairways. Cars and pedestrians can cross this public course, but must do so respectfully and at their own peril. I thought that the combination of the sign and the Royal and Ancient clubhouse yielded a photo that passes along the feeling of respect for the ancient roots at The Old Course (at least for golfers!).

Specs: Nikon D100 digital camera, Sigma 18-35mm lens, set at 640 speed ISO equivalent.
