#2 Tutorial For Adobe Photoshop

Step 1
Click 'file',then 'new'.Decide how big you want your final picture to be.I chose 500px by 450px. Drag your main background picture,The field,into your blank picture you created.Postition it where you want it.You can flip the picture around by clicking on 'edit','transform','flip horizontal'.Presto,your picture is now flipped around.

Step 2
Resize your aqua layer and drag it onto the main background.Position it where you want it. Change your aqua layer to 'overlay'. Step 3
Select your dodge tool.On your aqua layer lighten the bits where the grass is.Make sure you change the range:shadows,midtones and highlights.So you'll be going over the gras 3 times with the dodge tool.

Should now look something like this.

Step 4
Create a new layer.If you have texture paintbrushes you want to use,now is the time.I used a snow texture and with flow on 50% made one white and one black on the same layer.Then I chose to overlay my 1st texture layer.I created 2 more layers and added the swirly brushes.

Step 5
Now choose your dog,resize it and drag(copy and paste) it onto your background

Cut or erase all the extra background from your dog pic.Make sure your now working on the dog layer.You can refluff your dog with the smudge tool and smooth the outlines with the blur tool.

Step 6
Create a new layer for the shadow.Drag it so its between your background and dog.With a dark color paint a shadow where it would be with the airbrush.Decrease the opacity untill it looks natrual.

Step 7
Resize the butterfly picture to the size you want.Drag it to the background picture.Cut it out.You can smooth the wings with the blur tool.Place the butterfly where you want it.

Step 8
Add what text you want.It is a good idea to save your picture in psd format after you have added text and before the next step,so you can go back and change it later if you want.

Step 9
Click 'layer','merge visiable'.

Double click on the single layer you have untill the layer style window opens.Click stroke,choose your color and pixel size.Remember to make the position 'inside'.click okay.

Click 'layer','flatten image' and save your picture as a jpg file.And your Done.
