Delivering quality is the UK branch's specialty, and the HK77UK is no exception. Designed for airmobile, as well as specialist units, the HK77UK is where everything else is nothing. The weapon is a highly compact and efficient carbine, suitable for crewmembers, and a compact weapon for security use. Using a ceramic frame, it reduces some of the weight, but is heavier than most weapons of it's class. The weapon fires 9mm x 7mm caseless rounds that gives the weapon good all around firepower.
The weapon uses a rather different approach to maintain it's small size. Instead of a 'typical' ammunition clip, it is fed from a hopper that is built inside of the sliding stock. The rounds are stored perpendicular (like the FN P90) and fed through a special extraction system. The rounds are stored in a 9 x 5 arrangement, with five columns of nine rounds. The extraction system is based on the never made LMG11 system. Designer Karl Erns used this as the method to operate a high capacity weapon with the small size of a carbine. In fact, the HK77UK is only slightly larger than the FN P90. This is fed into a recoil operated, rotating breach system that aligns the round to the chamber of the weapon, using a small flap. The firing pin used to fire the round is right behind it, thus eliminating the rod needed to absorb the recoil, allowing the weapon to be smaller. With this design, this is able to provide an impressive 500 rpm capability. The receiver itself is below the barrel, right after the chamber. Thus producing a weapon with good all around firepower and large ammunition capacity, yet staying compact.
Clip design
A small port allows the stock to function normally. Ejection of jammed rounds is accomplished only on the right side of the weapon. The collapsible stock mounts an autostabilization stock, with a shock pad for added recoil reduction, as well as a forward handgrip to increase stability when firing. The 13" barrel itself mounts an Imp. Gas-Vent III system, as well as the handle mounting an Image Magnification-1 scope. The scope may be switched out for another type with no loss of concealability. And like it's sister, the HK78UK, it has a high capacity clip with 45 rounds. Light, compact, firepower, get the HK77UK today. The only current variant, the HK77UKSD, replaces the barrel mounted compensator for a sound suppressor. This of course is more expensive, but if you need not advertise, it is prudent to get this model as well. It is more expensive, but also lighter, by more than half a kilogram. The weapon, whether standard, or suppressed, is the same length, keeping the same 'footprint' as well as keeping costs down. This of course does not make the weapon unreliable, but a sure way of keeping performance similar, regardless of version. The selector switch is the standard "0-1-3-30" configuration.
Dissasembling the weapon for cleaning is also easy, with the weapon designed to be. The Rotating Breech system, despite it's complexity, is also easy to clean. A maintenance kit is installed in the butt of the rifle that has the proper tools to clean it. Additional kits cost 50¥ and weigh .2 kilgrams (weight for the weapon includes this). An instructional chip is also included with the weapon. Additionally, the HK77UK series can mount the MiGL grenade launcher for extra firepower. They also offer clip holders using the TAG FireForce II system, with a specialized holder that holds two clips.

The weapon has an autostabilization stock that offers 1 point of recoil compensation along with the shock pad, which offers 1 point. The barrel mounts an Imp. Gas-Vent III that offers 4 points of recoil compensation. The handle can accept any scope with a -1 concealability modifier. The suppressed version, completely replaces the Imp. Gas-Vent III. When using the forward handgrip, the user gets a -1 to recoil.
