Since there is alot of confusion among some just what an "A Team" is, it's alot different and more than just a bunch of dudes who just kick butt (well, they do....) but not many people understand how it all pans out. Well, here is how it looks like. It is primarily the basic size of current SF groups within the US Army, particularly the Rangers. It is more NCO heavy than most people think, with only one commissioned officer and a warrant officer in charge of the group. However, due to the weirdness of things, it may be commanded by the lowest of the ell-tees, or even higher. They are all trained in most areas to provide the best mix of combat power and ability. Like any special operations force, they conduct typical sabotage, train indigenous units, and can deploy anywhere using most means.
Needless to say, these teams are well equipped to handle the job, and have the skills to use them. They have the most advanced communications, GPS, night vision devices as standard. Medical equipment includes laboratory and dental equipment, sterilizer, resuscitator-aspirator, water testing equipment, and vetinary equipment. Magical composition is usually one of the Weapons NCOs have some magical proficiency, with training in magical warfare and other necessary skills. As well as being equipped with the latest weaponry, they are still trained to operate other types as well, as well as heavy weaponry. Other equipment, such as a HALO kit, and stuff such as boats, are used as needed. At least one soldier is equipped with a vehicle rig.
Missions: Foreign Internal Defense, Unconventional Warfare, Special Reconnaisance, over or covert Direct Action, Coalition Warfare/Support, and Humanitarian and Civic Action.

I would like to say that most of the information here was from The Battle Book, buy Major John Sutherland, Infantry, R.A. pg. 101-J. In no way is this an attempt to infringe on any copyrights.
